A. Summer Schools – Lezingen 1. Short Summer School – Digital Humanities: 8 – 10 september Het zeer gevarieerde en interessante programma vindt u hier terug. 2. Wetenschappelijke Integriteit: • Actuele lezingen over ‘Questionable Research Practices’ – 18 september, 14.00u Aud. Zeger Van Hee, De Valk. Lezingen: ‘The Crisis of Confidence in Psychology’ en ‘Practical Recommendations to Increase the Informational Value of Studies’ • Hoorcollege Wetenschappelijke Integriteit: verplichte module voor alle doctorandi die starten in academiejaar 2014-2015 – vrijblijvend voor alle andere doctorandi. Meer informatie. 3. FLAMES Summer school in ‘Methodology and Statistics’: 8-19 september 4. Interuniversitaire masterclass Religie en Cultuur in het Ancien Régime: 9 – 10 sept. B. Financiering • 4 september: deadline Junior Mobility programma YouReCa • Doorlopend: Aanvragen voor een ‘conference allowance’ – doctorandi die geen werkingsmiddelen (bench fee) hebben (bv. DBOF, IRO-bursalen, ‘self-supporting’ doctorandi, …) kunnen een aanvraag indienen voor een ‘conference allowance’ van max. 500 euro – aanvragen kunnen doorlopend worden ingediend, min. 2 maanden voor de activiteit. Voorwaarde is dat je actief deelneemt aan een conferentie, summer school, … Als doctoraatsstudent kan je ook financiering aanvragen voor een OJO-activiteit die je zelf organiseert, of ook voor een internationale spreker die je uitnodigt om een lezing (bv. in het kader van je doctoraatsverdediging). Nuttige informatie - Oproepen: • Orientation Days voor nieuwe, internationale doctoraatsstudenten • Buddy programma: reeds meer dan 500 internationale studenten deden een aanvraag voor een buddy. Zij hopen allen zo snel mogelijk toegewezen te worden aan een lokale student. Daarom deze warme oproep. PhD module on Scientific Integrity: an obligatory lecture for all starting doctoral researchers (first registration into the doctoral programme in AY 2014-2015) – optional for all other doctoral researchers. Grants – financial stimuli • 4 September: deadline Junior Mobility programme YouReCa • Ongoing: Apply for a ‘conference allowance’ – doctoral researchers who do not benefit from a bench fee (i.e. DBOF-, IRO-scholars, self-supporting doctoral researchers,…) can apply for a ‘conference allowance’ of max. 500 euro when actively participating in a conference, summer school, … Requests should be entered at least 2 months before the activity. As a junior researcher you can also apply for funding when you organise an OJOactivity yourself, or when you’d like to invite an international guest (e.g. external jury member for your PhD defence) to give a lecture or seminar for fellow researchers.
