Bob Walrave – Curriculum Vitae Name Bob Walrave Gender Male Date of birth February 17th, 1982 Nationality Dutch Phone -‐ E-‐mail [email protected] Address -‐ Web Twitter www.bobwalrave.com @bobwalrave Research and educational statement My main research interest is centered around the investigation of strategic decision-‐making in dynamically complex situations. More specifically, I am particularly interested in differential selection process within organizations at the top management level (e.g., exploitation-‐exploration strategy). This means, for example, investigating how executive teams should – or what problems arise while they try to – manage their exploration-‐ exploration balance for optimal performance. More recently, this interest also took me to the development and maintenance of innovation ecosystems in the context of ‘sustainability entrepreneurs’. Most of my research takes a longitudinal research approach with the aim to answer ‘how’ questions. In this respect, most of the research applies panel data analyses or system dynamics modeling – directed toward creating process theories. Besides my research, I am a motivated educator, teaching and supervising in-‐line with my research interest: ‘strategy and technology management’ and ‘system dynamics’. 1 Work experience 09/2014 – current Educational officer at ITEM – TU/e Responsible for education strategy, coordination, and planning 09/2014 – current Member of management team at ITEM – TU/e Actively involved with the daily operations of the ITEM group 04/2013 – current Freelance consulting & Executive teaching (AIVB adviesbureau) Consulting on enabling innovation.
