This event will be a disaster relief fair for the
entire Long Beach community. On the second
anniversary of Hurricane Sandy, Catholic
Charities, in conjunction with the Long Beach
religious communities and the Long Beach
COAD, will bring in some of our local and
regional community services both related to
ongoing disaster relief/preparedness and
broader social needs affecting our community. The fair will be bilingual and culturally
sensitive to the Long Beach community.
The Long Beach Disaster Relief Fair will
include:

An interfaith prayer service related to our
environmental and social concerns and
calls us to build a community that can respond to future crisis.

Catholic Charities Disaster Preparedness
kits (limited numbers will be available,
one per family)

Great local ethnic and typical food from
the community

Children entertainment and treats

Este evento será una feria para promover recursos de socorro y preparación en casos de
desastre para la comunidad de Long Beach. En el segundo aniversario del huracán Sandy,
Caridad Católica, en conjunto con las comunidades religiosas de Long Beach y el LB-COAD,
traerán servicios locales y regionales relacionados con servicios de socorro/preparación en
casos de desastre y las necesidades sociales que afectan a nuestra comunidad. La feria será
bilingüe y culturalmente sensible para la comunidad de Long Beach.
