Application Process and Important Dates






25th
Aug
– Find out about RHA at your Council meeting. Pick up an application.
Aug 29th - Applications due by 11pm; please submit at your hall front desk.
Sep 8th – Applicants will give a short (1-2 min) “get to know me” talk at the meeting; voting begins
Sep 11th – Voting ends
Sep 12th – Results will be announced/posted within your residence hall
Sep 14th – Council Officer Training (1-6 PM)

*Hall Council Officer positions are a 1 academic year appointment/commitment (September-May)*
** By signing this application, I give my permission to the RHA University Advisor to check my Academic
and Disciplinary standing at Winona State University. If I am elected, I give my permission to check my
standing throughout the term. I will abide by the RHA Constitution, as well as the Hall Constitution I am
elected to.

RHA Council Information
Commitment as a Hall Council Officer:
 Attend weekly RHA General Assembly meetings on Sunday nights (about 1 hour)
 Attend pre-meting and run weekly individual Hall Council meetings on Monday nights – times
vary between halls
 Plan, implement, and attend programs/activities with your fellow council members
 Fulfill position expectations as outlined in the RHA and Hall Constitution

 During the week
o Have fun and meet other residents within your hall!
o Committee meeting and or council meeting, if applicable
o Staff the RHA office (1 hour/week)
 Hall Council has a weekly commitment of approximately 5-7 hours/week. (See calendar on back)

Minimum Requirements:
 Maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
 Maintain a minimum of 12 credit hours
 Administrative, conduct, and academic records in good standing
 Reside is the residence hall you represent as a Hall Council member
