YHZ IAM Winter 2014 - 2015 AIRCRAFT AND BAGGAGE SERVICES BID PACKAGE Please take the time to review all bid collateral carefully as outlined in this document. Any discrepancies should be directed to Andrew Downs, Resource Planning Department via email at [email protected] POINTS OF INTEREST: Winter 2014-2015 bid schedule implementation date is Sunday, October 26th, 2014 Based on day of operation requirements, you will be assigned to any work area your qualifications support. Employees bidding Ramp Crew 04: This ramp crew will be assigned to the baggage room daily at the beginning of the shift and through periods of time during the shift. On Saturday’s only – Lead Station Attendant works in the Baggage room 0645 – 1445 for full shift. On Saturday’s only – the two Station Attendants work in inbound room 0645-1445 for full shift. Employees bidding Inbound / Arrivals: Employees will be considered all functions and will be assigned to meet Air Canada, Express, and deliver and dispense inbound terminating baggage as the operation demands. Employees will also be assigned to the domestic baggage rooms when there is no baggage connection activity. Lead Station Attendants working this area will be responsible for the assignment of work tasks for the area and has is considered a working member of the crew. Duty to Accommodate (DTA) Employees who require DTA will have lines identified to them that meet their requirements prior to the bid. During the bidding process if only one line of the DTA lines identified remain open then that line is held for the employee with the DTA. Job descriptions will be emailed separately from this package. It is highly recommended to review the job descriptions for the areas you are interested in bidding prior to the open bid process. Shift Trades - It is the responsibility of the employees to ensure that skill qualifications are met when shift trading. Telephone bidding – Please call in at your allotted bid time at (902) 873 – 2319. You must be prepared to bid within the three (3) minutes allowed. You may keep yourself updated on the bid by using the website www.iamaw1763.ca. The official bid will be updated within the bid room. The local IAM office will be updating the above website as a guide only to support the employees. The Shift Master Document in the bid room will be the official bid. Any errors of other updated documents will not have any impact on the winter 2014-2015 bid or bid lines. Vacation Adjustments will not be done during the bidding process. BIDDING PROCEDURE In the event that you or your proxy is unable to attend, bid sheets must be emailed to [email protected], [email protected] and [email protected] by noon, Wednesday, October 8th, 2014. If you are unable to bid in person or via telephone, and fail to submit a completed bid form will result in you being assigned a work schedule after the bid process is complete. You must list your shift of choice in order of preference. Open bidding by proxy will be allowed. The person who is designated proxy shall have a signed document authorizing him/her to bid on your behalf. There will be only one (1) employee allowed in teh bid room at a time. Relief Shifts Relief preference sheets are available to employees bidding relief, and are included in this package. Preference sheets should be returned to Joyce Wedmark in the Genaral office by Noon, October 14th, 2014. Note, shift times and days off in eSS reflect your base relief shift. Relief employees will be notified by Company email and a message in the eSS system when relief assignments have been completed. The adjusted cycle calendar will come into effect on the date of the bid flip. The following cycles will be adjusted for YHZ station: 4x2 cycles will shift forward 1 day.
