Who do you want to lead the IAM-YP for the next two years?
We are now accepting nominations for IAM-YP Chair and
Vice-Chair positions.
The IAM-YP Chair has the following responsibilities:
Non-voting member of the IAM Executive Committee
Appoints the IAM-YP Management Board and IAM-YP
committees with approval from the IAM President
Works closely with IAM-YP Management Board and IAM-YP
Committees to accomplish the projects identified as important
to the ongoing success of the IAM-YP
The Vice-Chair supports the Chair in each of these efforts. The Chair
and Vice-Chair are both elected to two-year terms and sit on the
Alan F. Wohlstetter Scholarship Fund Board of Directors.
We will conduct elections for IAM-YP Chair and Vice-Chair beginning
on July 15, 2014. Your membership must be current in order to
participate in the IAM-YP elections.
If you would like to run for either of these positions or wish to
nominate someone to do so, please notify IAM Membership Services
Coordinator, Ms. Ayana Singhateh, at

IAM 52nd Annual Meeting Tentative Schedule
The 52nd Annual Meeting will be held October 7 - 10, 2014 at the
Marriott World Center in Orlando, Florida.

IAM helped sponsor the Young Movers Conference for the fifth
consecutive year. Each year, this event provides excellent
networking and professional development opportunities or young
professionals in our industry.
This year the Young Movers Conference was in London and YP Chair,
Brian Goldstein, and Vice-Chair, Catherina Stier represented IAM at
the conference this year.
From sightseeing on the London Eye to a panoramic boat cruise on
the River Thames. The meeting was full of exciting social events that
involved an interactive, team building Treasure Hunt in and around
London followed by an English afternoon tea.
The business portion of the meeting focused on education sessions
with industry leaders about their vision for the future of the
removals market. Next year, the Young Movers Conference will be
held in Sofia, Bulgaria.
IAM is planning an event called
a Young Movers Leadership
Summit. This is not an IAM
event and will to take place
before the Annual Meeting.
The Summit will convene the leaders of all the youth-oriented
groups within our industry for the purpose of discussing how best to
promote the interests of young professionals in our industry and
identify whether there are opportunities for the organizations to
work collectively with each other for the benefit of all industry young
professionals.
We are still making arrangements for the Summit so stay tuned for
more information.

protégé? What are some of your valuable
takeaways or methods you have used in a
mentoring experience?
This summer, IAM will launch a Mentor
Match program that will open the way for
members to gain knowledge, skills and
expertise in our industry from experienced professionals.
The program is structured so that anyone of any age can be a
mentor or a protégé, sharing knowledge and experience. Please join
the discussion taking place in the Social Café to learn how
mentoring can Put Your Career in High Gear.

We are excited to share that IAM Director of
Programs Brian Limperopulos and his wife
Lena welcomed a baby boy named Craig
Stephen Limperopulos on May 27,2014. We
are happy about the new addition to the IAM
family! Pictures are coming soon.

IAM-YP, IAM, and the industry as a whole.

Special
Governing Members are eligible to receive three free
IAM-YP memberships. Out of the 28 Governing Member
companies currently enrolled in the IAM-YP, only five
companies have taken full advantage of this benefit.
