Dear Ladies,
If you missed the October luncheon, you missed a wonderful fashion show. Thank you to Marie
from Steinmart and thank you to our beautiful members who modeled fabulous clothing.
The newcomer tea has been changed from November 10th to November 17th since four members
of the board will be working on the Christmas tree for the Festival of Trees. The Tea will be held at
Mary Greene's and all members are invited. Please let Mary know if you will be attending.
The November luncheon meeting will be held at Johnnie's Hideaway which was formerly known as Pebbles and is
located at the back of the Crossroads Shopping Center. To continue, we will be collecting food for the Second Harvest
pantry. Donations should consist of non-perishable food items and boxed tissues, toilet paper, toothpaste etc. You
ladies have been very generous in the past and I know that is much appreciated.
If you will be unable to attend the luncheon, have a happy Thanksgiving, and we hope to see you at the December
luncheon. REMEMBER - Election day is November 4th. Please remember to vote.
Fondly,
Aurie Bremer, President

KEEP YOUR COMPUTER
RUNNING
at TOP SPEED
1. Have an antivirus program running at all
times. You can pay for one or get this highly
rated one for free: AVAST Go to this website:
http://www.avast.com/
Just make sure you
pick the FREE version. Allow updates which are
free not upgrades which cost money. They will
occasionally try to upgrade you to a paid version
with more features, but the free one should be
all you need. You want AVAST to update automatically so that when a new virus comes out,
your computer is protected.
2. Use a Registry Cleaner occasionally. The Registry is like the index/table of
contents for your computer. As you create, delete, and move files as well as install and
uninstall programs, the Registry can get really
“messy”. A cleaner eliminates out of date info
which helps your computer work more quickly.
A great free one is CCleaner. Go to this website:
https://www.piriform.com/
You can also use
this program to uninstall programs from your
computer, to delete junk files from your web
browser and computer, and to set the programs
that are part of your computer startup so it
boots faster. Again, update (free) not upgrade
($$).
