WELCOME TO OUR CHURCH FAMILY!
We are very excited to report that since our last Wow Newsletter in April, eight more people have become
members of our church family here at the Spring Hill Church of Christ. We want to say a very special welcome
to Wilson Caldwell (baptized April 20), Kole Love (baptized May 4), Sylvia Love (transferred May 4), Vickie
Grewe (transferred May 11), Zack Orick (baptized May 18), Casey Hartle (baptized May 18), Scott Shie
(baptized May 19), and Nathan Walters (baptized May 25). Please keep these new brothers and sisters in your
prayers. We look forward to having them join us in serving Christ together here in our community.

TUESDAY SCHOOL’S RECORD GRADUATION!
On Sunday night, May 18, a new record was set for our Tuesday School program here at Spring Hill. Sixty-eight
children “graduated” with three hundred and forty-eight in attendance for the event! We congratulate all of the
kids and we say a special thank you to the 20+ adult teachers and workers who made all of this possible. The
upcoming new school year will begin on September 9 and the Open House will be on August 26 from 7:00 p.m.
to 8:00 p.m. If you have any questions, please contact our church office or speak to Kristin Haskins, our Tuesday
School director. You can also find more information and register your child online at www.tuesdayschool.com.

OWLS GREAT NIGHT OF BRATS & BUNCO!
Over 30 Spring Hill seniors gathered for a night of Brats and Bunco Tuesday, May 13. After a delicious meal
enjoyed by all, the Bunco Battle began, and the PRIZE PIG went to Barb Lintner who is “privileged” to keep it
until the next Bunco Night in the future. Many rolls of paper towels were collected for Abilities First, the
OWLS’ (Older, Wiser, Loving Seniors) project for the past few years. The next meeting of the OWLS will be
June 10 at which time VITAL SIGNS, a signing choir from Dayton, will be our special guests. And then July 8
we’ll be going to a Dayton Dragons’ baseball game. There are only thirty-five tickets available for the night of
entertainment and fun. Contact Marc and Barb Lintner if you are interested in attending.
LADIES’ SPRING RETREAT REPORT
Elena Crase, Donna Duncan, Sylvia Love, Nell Stacy, Margaret Miller, Linda Horne, Debbie Schrote, Rebekah
Schrote, Jerri Burt, Barb Lintner and Lana Poe represented Spring Hill at the 49th annual Ladies’ Spring Retreat at
Butler Springs Camp May 16th and 17th. Julie Garriss of Joplin, MO, the main speaker, was a “hit” with the
women in attendance as she is wherever she speaks. Over $1,000 was raised for the Navajo Indiana Mission in
1 the retreat, an entertaining THE PRICE IS RIGHT game was held in which both Barb Lintner
Winslow, AZ. During
and Nell Stacy were called “come on down” to participate. Both won awards. In fact, Nell Stacy was the winner of
the First Prize which consisted of a beautiful Porsche, though it was Match Box size L, free registration to next
year’s retreat and a Butler Springs’ T-shirt. All of the women reported that they enjoyed an uplifting weekend and
a great time of fellowship with other area women. (Comment by Bob Stacy: I understand that sleep was at a
premium due to the rather loud snoring of some of the women. To learn their names, you’ll have to ask one of
those who did not snore! Snorers seldom will admit it.)

Senior Minister,
Steve Reeves
God continues to move and work in us and through
us. We are so very thankful and praise Him for the
decisions that are being made. We lift up those who
have been baptized into Christ: Wilson Caldwell,
Kole Love, Zach Orick, Scott Shie, Casey
Hartell, Nathan Walters and Sydnei Schrote!
As well as those who have placed their membership
in with our family: Vikki Grewe and Sylvia Love.
Encourage these new brothers and sisters, lifting them
up in prayer and helping them feel connected at
Spring Hill!
As you all know, we continue our journey through The
Story – though we have had to take a few breaks for
the various holidays. But so far it has been an
incredible experience as we continue to see God’s
Story unfold throughout history. At the same time we
are seeing God’s Story continue to unfold in our lives
and in the life of our church.

“A Family That Cares For You”
Return Service Requested
I’ve had so many tell me how much they are growing in
their understanding of God’s Word while others are
making such life-changing decisions!
And it’s not too late to join in! Get your copy and
begin today…or if you’ve fallen behind on your
readings –fear not! It doesn’t take a whole lot to
catch up. I cannot stress the value of this opportunity
to get a greater understanding of the Bible as a
whole. Through the study of His Word, the Spirit helps
to “renew” our thinking. God first works in us so that we
will work in others.
We thank God for all of our graduates and their many
accomplishments! We have been so blessed over the
years to have such outstanding young people! We
want to be lifting them up in prayer as they begin this
new transition in their lives (See Our Teens Need
Prayer printable click here), asking God to guide them
so that they might grow wherever they are planted.
We the people, make up “the church.” That’s why it is
so vital that, as His people, we come together to
worship each Sunday. The early Christians were
devoted to meeting together like this. It is not only
essential for our own growth, but also for the building
up the Body of Christ (Ephesians 4:15). Each one of
us has a vital role to play in God’s work at Spring Hill.
What’s yours?
And I continually remember all of you in my prayers.
I thank God for such an amazing church family!
