(= but I also used other means of transport) Always, I drink coffee. negative sentences In a negative sentence, the adverbs of frequency go between not and the verb. – You don’t usually eat breakfast. – We didn’t always remember to log out of the system. Note: Either never or not are used in a sentence, never both. For example: I don’t eat fish. I never eat fish. I never don’t eat fish. For example: She is always talking on her phone. They show exactly how often something takes places. – I drive to work every day. – She works on her car every weekend. – He has a meeting with India every three weeks. – They come to our office once a month. – I telephone with my supervisor three times a day. Note: There are other adverbial expressions, which are often idioms, that also show how often something takes places. For example: We see each other every now and then. (= occasionally) I go to the trade fair once in a blue moon. (= very rarely) She works overtime every once in a while. (= rarely) He speaks Spanish at work from time to time.
