Jess’ football team, the Hounslow Harriers, have reached the finals of the
league tournament, which will be attended by an American recruiting scout.
Joe, Jess’ football coach, is worried as Jess hasn’t turned up for training and
therefore confronts her parents, Mr and Mrs Bhamra. He didn’t know that
they were unaware of Jess’ playing football, but still pleads with them to
allow her to play. However, they generally object to her playing football.
Moreover, the tournament is held on the day of Jess’ sister Pinky’s wedding.
Act out the scene in the Bhamras’ living room.
