International FIDIN jubilee conference
“wrap up the antibiotic resistance”

The Dutch association of manufacturers and importers of veterinary medicinal products (FIDIN) was
founded 50 years ago, when The Netherlands introduced legislation to regulate the sales of veterinary
antibiotics. Now, 50 years later, the development of antibiotic resistance is a major concern.

To celebrate its 50 anniversary, FIDIN is organising a conference in association with the International
Federation of Animal Health in Europe (IFAH-Europe) to discuss policies on how to handle the

development of antibiotic resistance. The conference will take place immediately after the 3
international conference on Responsible Use of antibiotics in animals.
