Leesburg Veterinary Hospital is an AAHA-accredited, high-volume, fast paced veterinary hospital located just south of
Leesburg, VA on Route 15. Our state-of-the-art facility provides the highest standards of care and the newest
advancements in veterinary technology for our patients.
Our practice is currently seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Under the supervision of associate veterinarians,
Licensed Veterinary Technicians provide routine medical treatment and care of animals to include all medical and surgical
procedures; prepare specimens and perform all laboratory hospital procedures; assist veterinarians in the practice of
veterinary medicine and surgery; and provide compassion and communication to patients and owners.
The right candidate will be able to perform basic veterinary medical procedures such as:

IV catheter placement in various locations
Venipuncture in various locations
Emergency triage
Blood pressure monitoring
ECG interpretations
Anal gland expression
Prescription medicine and fluid therapy calculations
LVTs will uphold client relations by admitting and discharging patients, effectively communicating animal care
instructions to clients, and educating clients on needed treatments and procedures. They maintain accurate medical records
of treatments, procedures, and communications with owners and referring veterinarians. LVTs will be expected to
maintain a leadership role by supervising and training veterinary assistants and kennel assistants. This position also
requires a practical knowledge of the hospital’s procedures, policies and services, client and patient treatment protocols,
and terminology used in the veterinary hospital.

Our hospital is open Monday through Thursday 8:00AM to 8:00PM, Friday 8:00AM to 7:00PM, and Saturday 8:00AM2:00PM. Weekday employee shifts are generally 7:00AM to 2:00PM and 2:00PM to closing. Availability to work on

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
Graduate of an AVMA accredited Veterinary Technician Program
Licensed by the state of Virginia to work as a Veterinary Technician.
Starting salary is negotiable, based upon experience.
