Apostolic Christian Church

Apostolic Christian Church – Bluffton Country
Sunday Announcements – January 18, 2015

Prayer Request - With excitement to see what God has planned for us, we ask for your prayers as James begins
a new job with Purdue that will move us to West Lafayette. Moving from family, friends, and church family brings
bittersweet emotions, and we thank each of you who have already expressed love and support. We prayerfully
look forward to a new chapter in life with the West Lafayette church, and hope to see some Bluffton visitors! With
thanks, Bro. James, Sis. Vanessa, Eden and Roman Stoller

Sanctity of Life - Included on the back side of the announcements is information regarding the “Sanctity of Life”,
which is being commemorated today. It is a good reminder for us to remember to be thankful for God’s gift of
“LIFE” and to be prayerful that our nation, including our leaders, would respond as God would desire.

Sanctity of Human Life
Sunday, January 18, 2015
History and Facts
 Established in 1984 via presidential proclamation by Ronald Reagan, this day is an opportunity for us as members of the Body of
Christ to thank God for his creation. Here’s an excerpt from the proclamation: “I call upon the citizens of this blessed land to gather
on that day in homes and places of worship to give thanks for the gift of life, and to reaffirm our commitment to the dignity of every
human being and the sanctity of each human life.”
 In 2013, there were 7,600 abortions in Indiana; 10 from Adams County and 13 from Wells County
 We, as the hands and feet of Christ, are called to bare one another’s burdens and to be a voice for those that are vulnerable and do
not have a voice. Help save lives today – the lives of parents and their unborn children!

Prayer Points
1. Pray for the clients (to be the first choice for anyone facing an unplanned pregnancy)
 For the teen or twenty-something who is single, pregnant, and scared.
 For the married woman who has reasons that she doesn’t want to be pregnant right now.
 For the young man who doesn’t want his girlfriend or wife to be pregnant and wants her to abort.

 For the parent who needs help with baby items to find us and use our services.
 For the parent who needs a mentor not only for parenting but for their spiritual walk.
2. Pray for the staff and board
 That they be sensitive to each person who walks into the clinic discerning the real need under the immediate crisis of a pregnancy.
 That they continue to be prayerful and respectful about how to share Jesus with clients in meaningful ways that meet them where
they are.
 That they seek God’s direction as to His vision and plan for the next 5 years.
 That they immediately recognize spiritual attacks so that they use their weapons of spiritual warefare against our enemy, Satan.
 That God places needed people in positions whether volunteer, staff or board and that they discern His calling on their lives in this
area.
3. Pray for the donors
 That God directs people to give of their time, talents and treasures in meaningful ways.
 That God raises up people to pray for the clinics on a regular basis.
Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned,
when as yet there was none of them. – Psalm 139:16
