Continuing on in a tradition established by our founding Pastor, Carsten Ludder, we will enjoy pea soup, and pancakes (a classic Shrove Tuesday treat) for a family-style dinner. How were the Israelites to receive the word of God as they settled in the Promised Land? How does Jesus establish authority in the story from Mark? What, or who, are the figures of authority in your life? How is their authority established, and how does it guide your life and the choices you make? 30 Hour Famine Want to do something to help change the world? Consider participating in the 30 Hour Famine! All youth 12 and up are invited to help raise funds to end hunger around the world while enjoying a fun overnight on February 26 and 27. Talk to Callie if you are interested in participating. Project Hope-Ixchiguan Thanks You! Last Sunday’s Shucos fundraiser was a huge success due to to the hard work of our SHOCK teens, other volunteers, and our amazingly generous congregation. The money collected from the fundraiser has been combined with other free will donations to help schoolchildren in Guatemala. In total, our church raised an incredible $1,243.70 last month and donations are still being accepted. If you would like to learn more about Project Hope-Ixchiguan and/or make a donation talk to Hank Fandrei or Amy Whitley. Sign Up Today
