The Wednesdays: mission of Metro Stars Gymnastics is 10/8, 10/15, 10/22 to touch the lives of children of all (optional-Fall Break), 10/29 ages and abilities, helping them to & 11/5/2014 gain self-esteem and physical Arrival/Departure: well-being through participation in the 6:45p.m.—8:15p.m. sport of gymnastics. Gymnastics is an Engagement Time: excellent source of physical activity 7p.m.—8p.m. because it incorporates all areas of the body and also promotes the cognitive WHERE growth of a child. Once you register for a community-based learning experience, your prompt attendance and appropriate participation at the community site will be expected. Should an extenuating circumstance arise (e.g., illness, family death) that prevents you from participating in the learning experience, the absence must be validated by the course Instructor of Record; an unexcused absence is considered grounds for course failure. A Creighton University health science student will assist the coach during Margaret Martens the Special Stars gymnastics class. HEALTH SERVICE HOURS The Special Stars classes are designed for children who present with differing 6.5 hrs abilities and gymnastics tasks are adapted to the child’s skill level or Prerequisite Activities needs.
