Come and find out how to make your garden
and our village hedgehog friendly
Dear Neighbour,
We have been asked to champion our village as a haven for hedgehogs and we are inviting you to
join us. This project is part of a campaign being led by People’s Trust for Endangered Species
(PTES) and British Hedgehog Preservation Society (BHPS). Did you know that hedgehogs have
declined by up to 50% in some areas of the UK in the last 25 years? With your help and the rest of
our neighbours’ we could help save this much-loved garden visitor. By making small changes in our
gardens and local area we would like to transform our neighbourhood into an ideal ‘Hedgehog
Village’. You can be involved as little or as much as you like.
Please come to Piddletrenthide Village Hall on Wednesday 16th April to hear more about this. If
you would like to find out more about the project in the meantime please take a look at
www.hedgehogstreet.org.
Thank you for your time,
Kate Boyle (348562) and Janet Keen (348851)
