VILLAGE OF MILLBROOK
NEWS AND NOTES/2014 AUTUMN EDITION
RATE INCREASE IMPLEMENTED
Water and sewer usage rates have been increased. The rate changes are reflected in the enclosed bill. This increase was necessary so the Village can continue to meet the ever growing operational & capital needs of our systems. Village residents will pay $4.13 for water & $6.95 for sewer. Town residents will pay $7.34 for water & $6.95 for sewer. (Rates are per 1000 gallons of consumption) You can mail your water/sewer payment to Village Hall or stop by the office. A mail drop box is located to the left of the Village Hall front door for the convenience of check payments. Please direct all billing questions & concerns to VRI at 845-‐677-‐3839. If you have not received a new meter, kindly contact VRI to schedule an appointment. Leaf Pick-Up
Our annual leaf pickup program is underway as of October 1st & will run until December 1st. Residents are asked to place leaves curbside in wind rows for collection. Please do not place brush curbside or co-‐mingle brush with your leaves. Brush can damage our equipment & we recycle this organic material. Brush pickup has ended. Please compost yard waste or bring it to the Town of Washington Transfer Station for disposal. Snow Ordinance
During the period beginning December 1st & extending through March 31st, no vehicles may be parked in or upon any village street between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
