Snacks
The school is trying very hard to adhere to the school’s
healthy eating policy. Teaching children healthy
eating habits, can help maintain a healthy weight and
growth. Eating habits children picked up when they are
young will help them maintain a healthy lifestyle when
they are adults. To this end we request parents to provide a healthy lunch
and healthy snacks at break time.
Head Lice
Please check your child’s hair for head lice regularly. It has
been noticed that some children have head lice. The most
effective and cheapest way of doing this is by applying
conditioner then combing through with a fine comb (nit
comb is best).
School’s Islamic Ethos
Please be assured that all activities and events taking place at the school are
approved and authorised by a panel of ulamas on our governing body. Every
effort is made to adhere to Islamic teachings and guidelines and parents
should not feel that school is compromising on Islamic values.
On the rare occasion if one of our non-Muslim teachers inadvertently say or
do something in class, which might be deemed contrary to Muslim beliefs,
please feel free to discuss this with the management.
Ramadhan arrangements
Many thanks and JazakAllah khayr to all parents who responded to this
questionnaire. The outcome of these is as follows:
71% opted for a late start, whilst 29% opted for an early finish. As the
majority of parents opted for a late start we have decided to go with this
option.
We understand that this decision will cause inconvenience to families where
both parents are working, therefore we are exploring the option of providing
a supervisory club for those children only whose parents both work and who
will not be able to make alternative arrangements.
We regret that as the majority of our ustaadhs are male we cannot continue
to run madrasah during Ramadhan, as they will be on taraweeh duties.
Lost Property
A reminder to parents that the large amount of lost property in the school
office will be disposed if not claimed at the end of School on Thursday 3rd
April.
