About Us:
The Nadiad Education Society was
established in 1960 with an aim to provide quality
education to the young generation in and around
Nadiad in the fully developed educational campus
covering 65 acres of land. It laid the foundation of
imparting Higher Education in the areas of Pure
Sciences, Humanities, and Commerce & Law in the
Kheda District. At present the Nadiad Education
Society runs five colleges and thousands of students
get quality education at affordable cost, as most of
the intuitions are Grant-in Aid. The functioning of all
the institutions reflects its mission, ‟ Empowerment
of the individual at Personal, Social & National level”
Shri I.V.Patel College of Commerce:
Shri I.V.Patel College of Commerce had a
humble beginning with 128 students in the year
1960. The illustrious sons of Shri Ishwar Bhai Patel,
Shri Jash bhai Patel, Shri Sagun bhai Patel & Shri
Madhukant bhai Patel donated Rs.2.25 lacs for the
establishment of a fully fledged commerce college.
Today it boasts of 1460 students both at UG& PG
level.
The institution believes in,“ Adopt & Adept”
policy which is evident by its continual efforts to
expand Teaching & Learning Methodology,
implementation of new Programmes, & taking care
of Social Responsibility with the fast changing reality
of Higher Education in the age of Globalization,
Liberalization & Privatization.
Since 1961 the institution has been teaching
Accountancy & Auditing as core subjects in B.Com.
Program. In 1967 the institution got approval for PG
program with the Principal Subject Cost
Accountancy. It obtained approval to start Banking
as a Principal Subject at UG level in 1968. Since
1985-85 the institution has been teaching Computer
Science & Statistics at B.Com SEM-I & II as Subsidiary
Subjects.
Recently the institution is running UGC
recognized Two Courses – Banking & Insurance,
TALLY
under
Gujarat
Knowledge
Society,
Ahmedabad, SCOPE, and Retail Management under
National Skill Development Corporation.
About the Seminar:
Rejuvenation of Education is a global
demand. Time demands meaningful initiatives for
continuous upgradation of the institution.
Appropriate / Quality education is rather an issue
today but the quantitative growth in the academic
arena provides easy access to education. Alertness
required here! Is Quantitative growth in the
education field at par with the required Qualitative
growth? The institution has selected such themes
where delegates, Researchers, Scholars will share
their valuable ideas under one roof to Dream Big,
Think Great to reinvent and invest to make
institutions a world class learning place!
