CVM has a mission of reinvigorating society through
quality education. Since 1947 CVM has established over
45 institutions proving itself highly responsive to the
changing socio-economic environment by venturing into
various emerging disciplines under the continuous
dynamic leadership of Late Shri Bhaikaka, Late Shri
Bhikhabhai Saheb, Late Shri H.M. Patel (ICS retired) and
now with Dr. C. L. Patel as the present Chairman of
CVM, ARGH is thriving under the patronage of CVM.
Naturally CVM must also make future plans which enable
it to generate successful responses to some of the
challenges which the society is going to face. The primary
focus of CVM has always been on education - and
producing well-trained youngsters is certainly a major
part of any society's response to the future challenges it is
likely to face.

The institute has well equipped spacious library having:
– 16125 volumes of books covering various subjects.
– 22 National, 7 International journals and
– 178 e-journals (Elsevier & Science Direct)
– DELNET - AICTE
The library also provides various periodicals:
– Compact discs (CD's), newspapers and magazines for current awareness.
– Reading room facility with approximately seating capacity of approx 100 students.
– The resource center has adequate number of computers with broadband Internet /Wi-Fi connectivity along with
printers, SOUL software.
– Barcode system is also provided.
The institute also provides the basic facilities like copier machine, scanner etc.

18 well equipped laboratories including Pharmacology/Clinical Pharmacy laboratories.
This laboratory provides facilities for conducting various Animal experiments for screening the biological activity of
drugs and to perform bioassays.
The Laboratory is also used to process different body fluid samples for biopharmaceutical analysis and for clinical
analysis i.e. analysis of various components of blood, urine and other body fluids.
The lab is equipped with analgesiometer, convulsiometer, rotarod apparatus, aerosol histamine chamber, Eddy plate,
Lagendroff's assembly, physiographs, Animal operation table, surgical instruments, and digital plethysmograph.

• The air conditioned computer lab has adequate number of computers with
latest configuration and broadband internet connection.
• Wi-Fi connectivity is available in the institute.

• A large number of students from all over Gujarat and other states live in
hostels in the campus.

• The air conditioned animal house is provided duly approved by CPCSEA
(Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on
Animals) (vide registration no. 1149/ac/07/CPCSEA for Teaching & Research), for
housing of laboratory animals like Wistar albino rats, mice, rabbits, guinea pigs
etc.
• The college has also constituted an Institutional Animal Ethical Committee (IAEC)
for the control and supervision of experiments on animals.

and abroad after completion of their B. Pharm.

students.
• Many students from this college were recruited by various
