Eloy Maya, John Muttillo and
Stu Van Dresar all topped the
650 mark in the Moose League
last night as the teams rolled
two complete matches of three
games each to wind up the season. The league championship
was won by the Nolan, Hayes
and Warcup team consisting of
Gene Pritchard, Joe Catello,;
Ned Guglielmo, Homer Pritchard and Bob Hawkins.
Maya, who rolled a 670 in the
first match, posted the top series;
in sanctioned action. Muttillo's1
662 was also rolled in the first
match. Stu Van Dresar scored1
his 654 as he led the Moose in
the second match.
The best 10-frame mark was
a 255 fired by Pat Ciotti in the
Revere Employes League.
Betty Crouch set a torrid pace
for the women with scores of
220 and 582 in the Girls Classic
League.
21 Hit 600
There were 21 six-ply scores
reported last night, 11 of which
were fashioned in the Moose
League where Carl Tillock fired
a 626, Bob Yaple 618, Sam Bosco 607, Frank Belmont 604, Sam
Mosca 620, Dick Graves and
Sisto Martinelli 608s, and Eloy
Maya scored his second six-ply
of the evening, an even 600.
Rocky Ceravolo tallied a 636,
Angelo P. Cataldo and Tony Pettinelli 632s, and Pat Amuso 600
in the Copper City League.
Mario Totaro scored 619 and|
Joe Patane 603 for the Revere
Employes, and Nick (Fox) Facciolo 613 for the Goodfellows,
and Ron Shaler 610 for the Stittville and Floyd Firemen.
Tony Colasanti posted a 609
and Dave Hughes a 604 for the
Merchants League.
