Please ensure race numbers are visible to marshals and video cameras at check points and
finish.
Any route may be used on open access land. This does not include roads/green lanes, or
farmland, unless they form part of the Raad ny Foillan or are flagged for the race.
Although Raad ny Foillan is a national footpath, a prior recce of the course is recommended
as there are cliff edges near the path on Bradda, and between Niarbyl Bay and Gob ny
Ushtey, which may be require extra caution especially during periods of high wind or if
overtaking is attempted. It is strongly recommended to keep to the landside of path.
It is advisable not to attempt overtaking for about 1km after the first ladder stile GR217762
before CP5 Gob ny Ushtey as the cliff edge is close to the path and may not be visible.
Markings in this area to keep runners away from the edge must be followed. There is plenty
of opportunity to overtake on the climb from Gob ny Ushtey, and most other parts of the
course.
Caution should be taken in Kerroodhoo plantation as tree roots and branches present an
unavoidable hazard when descending at speed on the downhill mtb track.
