We have an exciting few days planned for you here at our world class Global Research Center (GRC). Below is a list of FAQs for your information. General information Where do I check in for the Symposium? You will register and obtain conference materials in the lobby of the GRC on Wednesday, May 28th between 8.00 and 9.00 am. If your organization requires you to pay for your meals during the symposium, we can accept credit cards during registration. Are Photo IDs required? Please make sure that you have a photo ID when you arrive at the GRC, you will not be permitted inside the facility without proper identification. International attendees will need their passports to access the GRC, please ensure you bring these with you on Wednesday. Can I be reimbursed for incidental expenses? As we will be providing the majority of the meals at the GRC, we cannot reimburse you for additional food or other expenses. Is there a Poster Session? There will be a poster session on Wednesday from 6.30 – 8.00 pm. Attendees are welcome to submit posters for consideration. Posters are usually 36” × 48”, though smaller and larger versions are welcome. Are there any activities at the Lodge? Wednesday night after the evening keynotes the poster session will take place in the Great Room where you are also you are welcome to enjoy complimentary drinks and snacks. We hope you take this opportunity to unwind after a long day and network with your fellow attendees! 2 Where will I be staying? Speakers will be staying at the lodge on the GRC campus and have had rooms reserved for them. Attendees will be staying at the The Dresmond hotel, a short shuttle ride from the GRC, and should book their own rooms from the block that has been reserved. How do I get to the Desmond hotel? For those of you flying, please take the complimentary 24-hr airport shuttle to The Desmond on Albany Shaker Road. If you take a cab or rent a car, we cannot reimburse you for this expense. To access the shuttle, once you collect your luggage, exit through the nearest door and cross over to the taxi lane for your shuttle. How do I get to the GRC? If you have a car, you are free to drive to the GRC each day. Your fellow attendees may also enjoy a ride, so please carpool if possible. Please note that we cannot reimburse you for a taxi or rental car. For those of you driving to the GRC, we cannot reimburse you for mileage. This welcome packet contains a map and directions to the facility. The address for the GRC is: Once you arrive, proceed to the Visitor’s Center.
