BACK TO SCHOOL INFORMATION www.m-gsd.org 2014-2015 Calendar 7:50 a.m. – 2:40 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2014 Student School Day: First Student Day is: Registration and Book Rental: Starting 7/28/2014 Monday – Thursday 8 am – 2 pm Registration is available on-line at www.m-gsd.org for all returning students. All new students will need to register in person at the appropriate school depending on grade level. New enrollments need to register as soon as possible, please bring birth certificate, shot records and proof of residency to enroll. School Supply List: Elementary supply lists are available at www.m-gsd.org. Middle and high school students’ supplies will vary depending on class schedule. Book Rental Fees: Kindergarten 2nd Grade 4th Grade $104.00 $105.00 $83.00 1st . Grade 3rd. Grade 5th Grade $111.00 $100.00 $ 85.00 *High School and Middle School will vary depending on each student schedule, please access “Skyward” (our student software) to obtain student schedules and fee information. School Breakfast: $1.50 High/Middle School Lunch: $2.45 Elementary School Lunch: $2.30 Payment Options: Beginning Monday, July 28th you will be able to pay for your child’s book rental and prepay for their lunch on-line. On-line is a fast and easy way to pay book rental, without the hassle of standing inline. Pre-paying lunch, allows you ease of mind that your child is not carrying around cash or checks. Please access your student “Skyward” account through the Monroe-Gregg web page for easy and secure payment options. Transportation: Beginning Monday, July 28th and throughout the school year, Monroe-Gregg School District parents will be able to access their student(s) Transportation Information on-line through the MGSD web-site at www.m-gsd.org. Parents will need their student(s) user name and password to obtain this information. If you have never registered, you will receive this information at registration. Bus routes and stops will be updated daily and will provide the quickest and easiest method for parents to obtain bus stop information. Please have your student(s) at the assigned bus stop at least five (5) minutes early. During the first few weeks of the school year, please be aware that your student(s) bus number or route times may vary to accommodate growth and other changes that may occur. Our drivers are not permitted to let kindergarten students or 1 st graders off the bus without a parent/guardian at the assigned stop or a written note from the student’s parent/guardian giving permission for the child to be released to another adult or student. If your student is not picked-up or droppedoff at the same place everyday, please make sure the student transportation information is always clear and upto-date. There will be no bus passes given out at this time, due to the lack of space available on buses. A Health Insurance Waiver Form must be signed and on file for each M-GSD student. Supplemental Student Health Insurance may be purchased through Student Assurance Services.
