MOONCHILD Moonchild was born to an extroverted woman of song, whose independence was way before her time. At the tender age of six months Moon found love in front of the camera. She found a kinship with the entertainment industry early on in her life, performing at talent shows and modelling as soon as her legs could carry her. Moonchild’s early start has ensured that she has been learning the tricks of the trade necessary to become a top-class performer. After moving to Durban to study fashion, Moonchild was able to make a name for herself in the local scene, performing festivals throughout KwaZulu-Natal. Now, having moved to Johannesburg, Moonchild has been able to maintain her rise to stardom. The move has afforded her the opportunity to perform alongside artists such as Madala Kunene, Gcina Hlope and Busi Mhlongo. Living in the city of lights has also presented the chance to collaborate with the likes of BLK JKS and Thandiswa Mazwai.
