Can the IT Service Desk help me?
The Service Desk is limited in terms of what support they can offer.
They can:
 Check your account and ensure your key fob is configured correctly to access the NFUM IT systems from your personal
equipment.
 Assist you with any IT incidents or ‘how do I …?’ questions once you’re logged in and accessing the NFUM systems (as
if you were working in the office)
They can’t:
 Install any of the software required to allow your own IT equipment to access NFUM systems.
 Clear any malware or Spam ware off your PC or Laptop.
 Help to resolve any issues you have with your own IT equipment or network connection.
 Remotely connect or provide hands on support relating to your own IT equipment.
Any software programs or components installed on your own equipment to access NFUM systems are done at your own risk.
NFU Mutual cannot accept any responsibility for any software installations you complete. The following is a guide on how
Where can I get help?
Use this guide to give you direction for first time installation and further use. If you have any difficulties at any step check the
troubleshooting section within this guide which is a record of all the known issues people come across and their workarounds.
There is also the ihelp forum on the mutualnet http://www.ho.nfumutual.co.uk/desktopdefault.aspx?tabid=740 . This is where
you can post problems, and other people that have had similar issues post solutions they have found.
There are also helpful guides on the IT service desk “How do i?” area on the mutualnet,
http://www.ho.nfumutual.co.uk/Content/GroupIT/Contribute/How%20Do%20I/HowDoI-UYOD.htm
There the various IT teams will update more documents when they get the latest updates or find helpful information.
