The Manitoba Holiday Festival of the Arts owes its beginning to Gissur Eliasson of the School of Fine Arts at the University of Manitoba. He recognized a lack of Art opportunities available for the creative individual and started a “Painting in the Park” program . With the help of the Neepawa Chamber of Commerce, the Neepawa Fine Arts Festival, Neepawa Collegiate Institute Staff and others, the foundations of the Festival were laid. The Festival has grown to include the literary and performing arts as well as various crafts. Canteen will be available during the week in the HMK lunchroom, provided by Shop Easy Grocery. Menu and prices will be available closer to the festival dates. Come out for the festival BBQ on Wednesday evening, July 9, for food, games and fun!
