Supplementary Regulations
Venue: Waipuna Station, Waipuna Road, Ikamatua, West Coast
Entry Fee: $150 – Includes T-Shirt
Jurisdiction: This event will be run under a MNZ Permit. All competitors must be the holders of a current MNZ Competition licence. Competitors from other countries are
eligible to enter subject to MNZ receiving start permission along with insurance to the FIM standards. This championship will be held in accordance with MNZ Manual of
Motorcycle Sport along with any supplements, and these Supplementary Regulations.
Entries Close: 5pm 15th April 2014. All entries accepted until closing date. Entries without entry fee will not be accepted. Late entries will incur a $50.00 fee and will
only be accepted at the organiser’s discretion
Entry Confirmation: Confirmation of entries will be on website www.mxt.co.nz - Entry form must be correctly filled out and the correct entry fee as per Rule 5-5-2
Programme times:
Thursday 24th April: Sign on: 3.00pm-5.00pm issued with Transponders at the track
Friday 25th April: Sign on: 7.00am-7.45am issued with Transponders at the track (for those who did not sign-on on Thursday) 8.00am - Riders Briefing
8.30am – Practice/Qualifying
Saturday 26th April: 8.00am - Riders Briefing – Practice 8.15am – Racing 9.00am
Sunday 27th April: 8.00am - Riders Briefing – Practice 8.15am – Racing 9.00am
Competition Licence, Log Book and proof of Club Membership must be presented, as well as your Helmets and Boots for checking. Note riders briefing is for ALL
RIDERS not just parents.
Qualifying: If qualifying is needed this will be during qualifying races on Friday morning. Qualifying will be conducted using Mylaps transponders. Support racing will be
provided for non-qualifiers.
Wild Card Option: The Steward, Clerk of the Course and Event Organiser in consultation may choose to include individual riders to the Start Gate for Championship
classes, these will be known as Wild Card riders.
Gate Positions: All Classes - Gate selection for riders will be by qualifying times. The qualifying position will be held for all races. If you qualify 10th you have 10th
choice for the start of all races. False Start – Any rider who jumps the start will be penalised with a 30 second time penalty, implemented by the Steward of the meeting.
Waiting Zone Procedure: 10 Minutes before the start of the race, all motorcycles must be in the waiting zone. Penalty of this regulation may result in disqualification
from the race in question.
Pit Boards: Pit Board and Mechanics Areas; any entrant or crew member must have there wrist band/ gate passes on to be in these areas.
Race Duration: The organisers reserve the right to alter the format as may be necessary and reduce race durations to keep the meeting on schedule. Times will be
strictly adhered to.
Races: Championship classes 7 races per class. Support classes 5 races per class.
Back & Bike Numbers: Correct racing numbers as issued by MNZ are to be worn on the back of body armour or jersey and on bikes as per rule 10-2-2.Correct number
board colours to be used as per rule 10-3-3.
Pit Bikes: Under NO circumstance will pit bikes be permitted at this event
NO DOGS This is farm land and under NO circumstances will dogs be permitted at this event, if you insist on bringing your dog you will definitely be asked to LEAVE
Points & Lapscoring: Points will be awarded from 1st to 20th place, as follows – 25, 22, 20, 18, 16, 15, 14, 13,12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Electronic timing
system will be used by MX Timing Ltd, each rider will be allocated their transponder at sign on. Transponders & brackets become the responsibility of the competitor
when collected at sign on – until such time they are returned at the end of racing. The cost ($650) for any lost or damaged transponders & brackets will be charged to the
competitor.
Fuel Testing: Approved fuel must be used. Testing may take place at anytime throughout the event
Random Technical Inspection: As per MNZ Rule 4-13. Noise testing will be performed at random.
Noise Testing: Noise Testing may take place. From 1 June 2008 MNZ noise limit will be 96dBA, for the purpose of this event any bike exceeding 96dBA or above will
be required to reduce their noise before starting.
Starts: Will be a clutch start behind backward falling gates.
Medical Clearances: Medical clearances (if applicable) are to be produced at sign on
Refunds: Refunds of entry fees must be applied for in writing and emailed NO LESS than 24 hours prior to the event to [email protected] as per Rule 5-5-2.
Results: MX Timing Ltd - www.mxt.co.nz - Live timing will be available for this event through www.mxt.co.nz if cellphone coverage is available.
Pre-Pitting: From 2pm to 5pm Thursday
Publicity and Promotion: All competitors who finish in the top 5 will make themselves available if required by the Sponsors, Club or MNZ officials for the purpose of
publicity and promotion.
Force Majeure Clause: Organiser reserves the right to cancel the meeting at any stage, in conjunction with the Clerk of the Course, Steward & Riders Representative
should conditions warrant. For reasons of "Force Majeure" should a meeting or part of a meeting be cancelled, entry refunds will not be made. Classes may be shortened
at the organizers discretion
General Notes: There will be a designated crossing area for the track. This is to ensure spectators do not cross the tracks whilst racing is on. It is imperative that your
support personnel use these crossings.
Camping: Camping is available at the track at a cost of $10 per night per vehicle

agree that my name can be published by MNZ as having taken part in a drug/alcohol test
together with the results of that testing.

responsibility in respect of the condition as set down, and also understand that a spot check may
