DSRIP PPS Networks: Deadline Nears
The deadline to join PPS networks for DSRIP is this Monday, November 24th,
2014 at 4:00 pm. All providers wishing to formally participate in PPS networks
must connect to these networks by then. This is the last opportunity for the next
five years to join a PPS network.
DOH is strongly urging all providers who have not joined a PPS to do so within
your area. A list of PPSs can be found on the DSRIP webpage. Additionally,
KPMG has been contracted by DOH to operate regional DSRIP Support
Teams, and these teams are available to help providers connect to PPSs in
their area. To access a DSRIP Support Team, email [email protected] and "cc" Jason Ganns, KPMG Director at

Home and Community Based Services Designation:
Applications are Being Accepted
As reported recently in the NYSRA News, New York State has released its
application for providers to receive a HCBS designation which will allow
agencies to provide HCBS within the State's public behavioral health
system. All NYC based providers must apply for the designation by December
5, 2014. Applications for all other areas will be due at a later date that has not
been specified as yet.
Workers with Developmental Disabilities Tax Credit –
Deadline Removed for Applications
To make it easier to take advantage of a new tax credit for hiring people with
developmental disabilities, the state has scrapped the Nov. 30 deadline for the
initial application. Instead, all businesses with active unemployment insurance
accounts as of that date will be eligible to apply for the Workers with
Developmental Disabilities Tax Credit Program which takes effect Jan 1,
2015. Employers must submit a request for certification application to the state
DOL. The tax credit program provides up to $5,000 for hiring someone fulltime (30 or more hours per week) and up to $2,500 for part-time (at least eight
hours per week) employment. The duration has to be at least six months. The
non-refundable credit is 15% of wages and 10% for part-timers. For more
information visit DOL's website.
Anderson Center for Autism Receives Award
NYSRA is pleased to share that its valued member, Anderson Center for
Autism located in the Mid-Hudson region of Staatsburg, New York recently

year's Business Excellence Awards. Anderson Center for Autism offers day
