CALL FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR NEW EDITOR/S History Australia is the official journal of the Australian Historical Association. The journal aims to reflect the diversity of history in Australia by publishing the research and increasing the professional self-awareness of historians making, teaching and applying history. It publishes peer-reviewed articles that draw on new historical research or address ways of teaching, exhibiting or applying historical knowledge. The current editors of History Australia, Tomoko Akami, Frank Bongiorno and Alex Cook, will be retiring after 31 December 2015. The AHA Executive wishes to appoint a new editor or editorial team to the position by mid-2015 to allow for a smooth transition. The Executive welcomes expressions of interest from candidates located in any Australian university or universities, and engaged in any variety of history, to be received by Monday 16 March 2015. Expressions of interest should include: • A brief outline of thoughts on the future direction of the journal • Evidence of the level of support in terms of administrative assistance and, where relevant, teaching relief to be provided by the new editor or editorial team’s home institution(s). Applicants should note that the current editorial team has been supported by Dr Karen Downing, as Assistant Editor, for one day per week throughout their tenure and a level of administrative and editorial support at least equivalent to this is likely to be essential. • A brief CV (one page max) for each member of the proposed team, including previous editorial or organisational experience and research strengths.
