Contact Fr. Marek at 334-4716,
ideally before the birth of your child thereby allowing
sufficient time to attend the group preparation session and
to take other steps if needed. Children 7 years and older
prepare through Religious Education Classes. Baptisms are
usually held the first Sunday of each month. Adults wishing
to be Baptized should also contact the Pastor.
Funeral:
By individual arrangements with the pastor at 334-4716.
Marriage:
Because the Church is deeply concerned about each
marriage & because growth and preparation of a couple is
vital to the success of the marriage, couples are asked to
give six months notice prior to the intended date of their
wedding. Contact the Parish office at 334-4716.
The Sick:
Those in hospital wishing a visit from a priest should make
this desire known as soon as possible. Those homebound wishing to receive communion are asked to call the

“HEALING MASS”
Wednesday, February 11 at 9 a.m.
This wonderful tradition continues this year to
commemorate the World Wide Day of the Sick and the
Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. ALL PARISHIONERS &
our Christian brothers & sisters are invited to attend
this special liturgy to be held on Wednesday, Feb. 11th
at 9 a.m.. The "Healing " portion of this liturgy is NOT
the Sacrament of Anointing but a ritual that includes the
bestowing of special oils on those who are physically,
mentally, or spiritually in need of healing - which includes
most of us! We urge everyone to attend this very unique
liturgy! As in previous years, a delicious, free Breakfast
will be served after the Mass through the generosity of the
Knights of Columbus. If you know of anyone who would
benefit from this Mass & ritual, please bring them along
with you – all our Christian brothers and sisters are invited
to attend!
Mothering
Full of Grace Series
“The vocation of motherhood is one of the most challenging but
rewarding, difficult but wonderful jobs in the whole world. Being a
mom is a call to care, to fix, to teach, to encourage, to provide, to
support…to love. It means being a light to your family and seeing
them shine because of it. But because it’s a vocation, motherhood
also means having the graces of the faith and the example of
Mary.Within the Catholic family, moms are never alone.”
Salt & Light Television 2009.
This is an opportunity to come together, as Catholic
Mothers, to learn and support one another through prayer,
sharing, and the watching of a series of Mothering Full of
Grace videos. If this sounds of interest to you, please call
Alison Nicholas @ 250-339-9790 or email [email protected]
to sign up. This group series will begin on Monday
February 2, 2015 from 7:30-9 p.m. in my home, and will be
meeting each Monday thereafter for 10-12 weeks. Tea and
refreshments will be served.

God’s grace fills us with love
Love is not a feeling, it is a process, a growing.
The heart is a lamp with just oil enough to burn
for an hour, and if there is no oil to put in, the
light will go out.
God’s grace is the oil that fills
