MAXIMUM 3 INDIVIDUAL EVENTS and 2 relays DIRECTIONS: Brenda Villa Aquatic Center 5600 Harbor Street, Commerce CA 90040. From 710 Fwy exit at Washington Blvd. East on Washington approximately 1 mile to Atlantic Blvd. Left on Atlantic Blvd. to Jillson Ave. Right on Jillson to City Hall parking lot. Left into parking lot. From 5 Fwy exit Washington Blvd. West on Washington Blvd. to Commerce Way. Right on Commerce Way to Jillson Ave.Left on Jillson approximately ½ block to parking lot. Right into parking lot. Pool is adjacent to parking lot. COURSE: Commerce Aquatorium is a 25-yard by 35-meter facility. 8-10 lanes will be used for competition with 3 warm-up lanes. The competition course has been certified in accordance with 104.2.2(C). Pool depth: start end 7-13 ft, turn end 7-13 ft. A Colorado timing system and display board will be used. MEET REFEREE: The Meet Referee will be in charge of the meet. Questions regarding the conduct of the meet should be made directly to that person. RULES: USA Swimming Rules will govern. Current Southern California Swimming (SCS) swim meet procedures will be enforced and take precedence over any errors or omissions on this meet form (see 2015 SCS Swim Guide). Swimmers must swim in their actual age group as determined by their age on the first day of the meet. Swimmers must be at least 5 years old on 1/31/2015 to enter this meet. Swimmers must check-in with the Clerk of Course for each event they wish to swim. After the event has been officially closed, swimmers may not check-in or scratch. Swimmers in the first SIX events of each session must check-in at least thirty minutes prior to the session starting time. RECORDING DEVICES & MEDIA NOTICE: The use of audio-visual recording devices, including cell phones, are not permitted in locker rooms, changing areas or restrooms. Recording devices are not permitted behind the starting blocks during the starting sequence during the meet. This meet may be covered by the media, including photographs, video, web casting and other forms of obtaining images of athletes participating in the meet. Entry into the meet is acknowledgement and consent to this fact. SWIMWEAR: Swimwear must conform to USA Swimming Rule 102.8. Only swimsuits complying with FINA swimsuit specifications may be worn in any USA Swimming sanctioned or approved competition. DECK CHANGING: Changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is prohibited. RACING START CERTIFICATION: Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. WARM-UP RULES: The warm-up pool will remain open throughout the meet. Swimmers warming up or down before, during or after the swim meet shall be under the direct supervision of a USA Swimming member coach. There will be no diving into the pool (practice starts) at any time during warm-up or during the meet, except in designated sprint lanes (practice starts permitted only under USA Swimming member coach supervision). Swimmers misusing the warm-up pool will be removed at the discretion of the Marshal. Warm-up rules will be announced, posted and enforced. ELIGIBILITY: Open to SCAA athletes who hold a current 2015 USA Swimming registration card. Registration application must be received by the Wednesday January 21, 2015 by the meet processor, administrative referee or SCS Office. Late application will be considered .on deck. and subject to penalties in SCS Swim Guide, Part One, III, B. In SCS age group meets, swimmers18 & younger must prove birth dates prior to competition. There are substantial penalties to swimmer & Club (See 2015 SCS Swim Guide, Part One, III, B) if USA Swimming registration is completed at the meet. CHANGE OF AFFILIATION: Before the meet, a swimmer may change affiliation by submitting a Club transfer form and the appropriate fee to the Swim Office. At the meet, a swimmer may only unattach (may not attach or reattach) by notifying the Administrative Referee and paying the fee. SUBMITTED TIMES: Times submitted must be BEST RECORDED TIMES short course or long course from this or preceding swim season (NO WORK OUT TIMES). All non-conforming times will be seeded last. Coaches and swimmers should be prepared to verify all submitted times. Discrepancy in the submitted times can lead to disciplinary action.
