The canteen for this event will be hosted by the Marlin Coast Swimming Club Timekeepers are to be provided by each club. A timekeeping schedule will be provided at a ratio dependant on the number of swimmers attending. For those clubs that have swimmers in the 800m and 1500m Freestyle events, you must provide a timekeeper for each swimmer entered. Results Pool to be cleared by 8.30. MARCH PAST WILL TAKE PLACE AT 8.40AM ON SATURDAY 8th March 2014 Prior to Carnival Start Collection of Medals Friday – 5.30pm for 6.30pm start Saturday morning – 7.45am for 9.00am start Marlin Coast Swimming Pool Smithfield Swimmers & Coaches – FREE (current ASCTA cards to be shown) All Adult Spectators - $4 entry per day Children - free Individual Nominations - $4 per event Relay Nominations - $8 per individual Wednesday 5th March 2014 – 6.00pm 8 and Over Age as at 7th March 2014 This Championship Meet is for FNQ Swimming Competitive registered swimmers. Recreational swimmers are ineligible to enter Swimmers registered with FNQ Regional Swimming Association must compete at these championships to eligible for our Annual McDonald Awards. Swimmers that are ill will be given special exemption if a doctor’s certificate is presented. As per attached Program of Events. Heats only will be swum at this Championship. FNQ Swimming reserves the right to combine heats and events. Late entries will be accepted at the discretion of the Race Secretary up to 30 mins prior to the start of each day and a fee of $15 per event applies. Changes to entries will not be accepted on the day. All enquiries regarding these entries MUST only come through the attending club’s Race Secretary and not through individual parents or swimmers. Visitors will receive medals if they place in the first three finishers. 200 IM events will be multi-aged for Medals, Aggregates & Team Points Open Events are NOT multi-aged Ribbons for all Relay place-getters. FNQ Swimming reserves the right to cancel any relays with less than three entries. Awards for aggregate winners and runners-up 8 years to 17 years and over, Open & Multi-disability (SWD). Points will be awarded on the 5-3-1 basis. Aggregate awards will be presented at the Annual Awards Presentation night on 5th April 2014 Visitors do not score points Age Aggregates will be determined by point accrued by the following: 8 and 9 year olds 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 & 17&O Open Aggregate points calculation SWD Swimmers 50m of each stroke 100m of each stroke plus 200IM All OPEN events – which includes: OPEN 50m strokes x 4 OPEN 200 Backstroke OPEN 200 Butterfly OPEN 200 Breaststroke OPEN 200 Freestyle OPEN 400 Freestyle OPEN 400 IM OPEN 1500 Freestyle OPEN 800 Freestyle 50m of each stroke The FNQ Team Trophy will be awarded to the FNQ team earning most points in individual events only THE FNQ Relay Shield will be awarded to the FNQ Team amassing most points in Relay events. The Renee Duncombe Memorial Trophy awarded to the FNQ team who is judged the “Best Presented” Club in the March Past) The Canon Trophies for FNQ Male AND Female will be awarded for equalling or improving records as follows: 5 points for best by FNQ Record & and additional 3 points for an FNQ Regional Record Shield Awards The Jeff Zahmel Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the winner of the FNQ boys 11/12 years 200m Freestyle The Julie Majer Perpetual Trophy presented to the 9 & over FNQ swimmer deemed to have made the most outstanding swim of the Championships in relation to FNQ records, but not awarded any of the other major trophies in the meet. Eddie Leeon Memorial Trophy awarded to the best FNQ Male or Female performance in the 100m Butterfly event Team Spirit Award Presented to the FNQ Club to be judged to give their swimmers the greatest support throughout the weekend. Roxy Trophy Presented to the FNQ Club with the most Roxy Points accumulated over the current season.
