 NOCTI has reached out to CRY-ROP through CTE Teach to pilot their industry tests. Our connection
through CTE Teach will allow California to contribute to the reliability and validity of these exams.
 The AB86 meetings have wrapped up. The San Bernardino Community College districts have graciously
invited the ROP’s to their meetings and CRY-ROP is happy to have been at the table. The work
accomplished in these meetings is good, and the collaboration between the districts, adult schools and
community colleges is solid. The Superintendents will have a chance to hear the report-outs at the next
Steering Committee meeting. Carol will be presenting the CTE report at the meeting.
Director of Student Services Sandy Mortensen reported on the following:
 We have established a great relationship with Redlands Community Hospital and in doing so they
graciously sent over a nurse to administer influenza shots to students and staff free of charge. This is the
second time we have held a Flu Shot Clinic at our adult campus which has helped students who may not
have access to medical benefits to meet the state requirement of having the shot or wearing a guard mask.
A big thank you to Meghan Llamas for organizing the appointment signups and also thank you to the
nurse for coming out and administering the shots.
 She also sits in on two of the AB86 meeting committees. She appreciates the districts support and enjoys
hearing the districts speak to the great things CRY-ROP is doing on their campuses. Sandy added that this
has been a great experience for her.
 We launched the second of three approved High School Equivalency tests, the HiSET. We are rolling it
out at fast speeds, with attending training just two weeks ago. An order has been placed for the paper
based material as well. We are very excited for the students to have a choice of the test they take. The
students will receive a high school equivalency certificate for the test they choose through CDE.

with the Vice President of Odysseyware Academy, which is an online school. They are looking into
launching CTE programs in California and want CRY-ROP to be a part of that. Carlos shared that it is
nice to talk about what we’re doing at CRY-ROP and get such a strong supportive response from a
company who wants to expand their online CTE programs in California.
 The Cyber Awareness kick off starts Monday at Kingsbury Elementary with a workshop educating
parents on how to support their children in their internet experience.
 He has also been attending the AB86 Hub meetings with Carol, commenting that this is a great forum for

recognize Carol’s great leadership in representing CRY-ROP at these AB86 Hub meetings.
