Dear Parents, It is time for our tenth annual Walk 4 Williams Walk a Thon! The theme of this year’s Walk-a-Thon (WAT) is Walk the Plank. We will also have our Teacher & Principal Treasures Silent Auction. We will be combining the Jack-O’-Lantern Jam shirt with the Walk a Thon shirt. Students can wear this shirt to school every Friday in Oct. Williams Walkathon Walk the Plank What is Walk-a Thon? Walk-a-thon or “WAT” is one of the major Wins sponsored fundraisers for the year. WAT is a fun-filled afternoon to spend with your family and show support for Williams Elementary. Friday, October 10th 3-6 pm How do I register my child? th This year $50 minimum in pledges per child is due with your pledge sheet and waiver by Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 3pm (checks should be made out to ‘Williams Wins’). Why do we need WAT? Without the money raised at WAT, our students will not have the enrichment programs, specialists and materials that make our school so successful. When is WAT? Our WAT will be held Friday, October 10th from 3:00 – 6:00 PM. Where is WAT held? WAT is held on our school’s walking track located around the field. How can I help? We would like all Williams students to participate in the WAT. The attached Participant Packet includes the Pledge Sheet and Waiver. Go over the rules that are online on www.williamscommunity.com, complete the attached and turn it into th the WAT bin in the school office by September 24 at 3pm. A Jr. Walker is a toddler or Pre-K Child that would like to walk at the Walk-a-Thon. You may sign them up as a Walk 4 Williams Jr. Walker. A donation of $20.00 and a signed waiver will allow your toddler to Walk 4 Williams. Jr. Walkers will receive a T-shirt and be eligible to receive lap prizes! Sorry, Jr. Walkers must be 4 or under and not registered at Williams in Transitional Kindergarten. In order to reduce paper consumption we have posted the rules and Jr. Walker form on our website: www.williamscommunity.com. Please mark your calendar for October 10th and plan to attend! Talk to your friends and come as a group!
