Currently a member of the TELUS Community Ambassadors, a volunteer group that gives back to the community either by direct volunteering or by the donation of goods in kind such as Back Packs with school supplies for the less fortunate children in our province or with Comfort Kits a cotton bag with basic hygiene supplies for those in need. Boyd McConnachie, CMA, MBA Boyd has been the Vice President of Business Development at The Inland Group since 2010. Prior to this, he held various positions both in the field and at Inland’s corporate office in Burnaby. Boyd has been with The Inland Group since 1993. Boyd is an alumnus of Simon Fraser University, earning his MBA as well as obtaining a CMA designation. He has lived in a number of communities in B.C. and Arizona. His love of golf and desire to give back to the community brought him to volunteer on the ALS Golf Memorial Tournament Committee of the ALS Society of B.C. Don McCusker Born and raised in Burnaby, B.C., Don graduated from Burnaby North Secondary while playing Junior A hockey with the Surrey Eagles. After high school Don accepted a full hockey scholarship to attend Northern Michigan University where he played four years of varsity hockey and graduated a Deans List student with a degree in Speech Communications and Business Marketing.For the past 10 years Don has been an accredited insurance broker and risk manager in Vancouver for HUB International and Axis Insurance Managers. He left this position after being diagnosed with ALS and now contributes as a volunteer for ALS BC.Don is an active member of the Vancouver Golf Club and an enthusiastic fan of the Vancouver Canucks. Shuhachi Naito Shu is the Senior Vice President on the Board of Directors for Coast Hotels & Resorts Okabe North America Inc. Okabe Co. Ltd. He has been in this position for going on 25 years. He is a member of; Hotel & Resort Investor, ASU Arizona State University, Argyle Executive ForumChief Marketing Officer, Argyle Executive Forum-Retail & Consumer Products and Hospitality Owner & Management Coalition groups. Rob Neilson Rob is currently a Contract Manager for the BC Hydro Site C Clean Energy Project with a focus on Aboriginal business engagement. Rob is an experienced Supply Chain professional with over 40 years managing supply chain activities including procurement and contracts, strategic sourcing, and distribution management for both public and private sector corporations. Prior to Site C, Rob has been in Procurement Management in BC Hydro Transmission and Distribution Major Projects, BC Transmission Corporation, and TELUS. Kathy Ostrowercha An alumnus of Simon Fraser University’s Education Department, Kathy has worked for Williams Moving & Storage for 33 years. Having worked with Sonny Williams for many years before his death from ALS and being the EA to Jim Williams, joining the ALS Memorial Golf Tournament was a natural fit. Kathy has volunteered for the ALS Society for 9 years and works hard organizing fund raising activities for the Williams’ employees so that they can all contribute to the “George Williams Endowment Fund”. Carole & Sandy Sinclair (Mom & Daughter) have been volunteers with the ALS Society since losing a family member to this devastating disease in 2004. They were very honoured to jointly receive the ALS volunteer of the Year Award in 2006. They have been members of the ALS Memorial Golf committee since 2006. Carole – after graduating from McTavish Business College in Edmonton Carole spent many years working for the pharmacy industry until her retirement in 2001. Carole spent the last 25 years of her career working for Pharmasave Drugs 1|Page ALS Memorial Golf Tournament Volunteer Committee Team head office in an administration role and as the Convention and Events coordinator, first for the Pacific region and then for the National head office. Carole has also been a member of the Fraser Valley Walk for ALS committee for the past 8 years. Sandy - attended Malaspina University College in Nanaimo where she studied art history and then attended Simon Fraser University where she received her Bachelor of Education degree. Sandy currently works for the Overwaitea Food Group. Sandy also volunteers for the Fraser Valley Walk for ALS. Jim Williams, Tournament Chairperson Named for his grandfather founder, Jim is leading The Williams Group into its 85th year in 2014. Jim literally grew up in the company and starting at age fourteen, has worked at every level from Sweeper to‘Swamper’ to Sales to President and CEO. As a leader in his industry, Jim was, for 14 years, a member of the Board of Directors of the BC Trucking Association and the longest standing Chairman of United Van Lines (Canada) Ltd., named one of Canada’s “50 Best Managed Companies”, where he currently sits as an Executive to the UVL Board. Jim is also active in the broader business community as a member of YPO/WPO since 2003 and by being involved as a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Board of Trade, CERC, TELUS Community Board, Director for Gat Leedm Logistics, President & CEO of St. George Moving & Storage, and for four years was Chair of the Finance Committee for Envirowaste, a publicly traded company. Tom Williams The Williams Group enters into its 85th year in 2014. Tom literally grew up in the company and starting at age twelve, has worked at every level from Sweeper to ‘Swamper’ to Sales to CFO. Tom was a member of the Board of Directors of the BC Trucking Association. Tom is active in the broader business community as a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, and Director for Gat Leedm Logistics, Vice President of St. George Moving & Storage. Tom supports many charities including A.L.S., Rotary, Rotary World Help Network, Terry Fox Foundation, Operation Eyesight and the Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation. Zach Williams Zach is a 4th generation Williams and grandson of George ‘Sonny’ Williams, who lost his battle with ALS in 1996. Zach graduated from BCIT in 2013 and currently works for the family business, Williams Moving & Storage, as Director of Marketing & Communications. Zach has been a volunteer of The ALS Society of BC for 6 years, where his primaries focus is the annual ALS Memorial Golf Tournament, benefiting the George ‘Sonny’ Williams Endowment Fund and Caregiver Days. Roselyn Wishinski Roselyn Wishinski is Vice President, Product Development for HUB International Insurance Brokers, having joined the company in 1986 as a Senior Commercial Account Executive. She has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. Roz began her insurance career in 1980 with Willis Canada Insurance, where she excelled in a number of departments. During her years with TOS Insurance Services, now a part of the HUB Group of Companies, Roz has managed a number of departments throughout the organization. In addition to her responsibilities as Vice President, Product Development Roz Wishinski also handles the marketing and management of insurance for numerous large corporate clients, specializing in the areas of Transportation, Lawyers and Law Firms, Property and Casualty. In addition to her insurance responsibilities, Roz is a board member of the Burnaby Hospital Foundation, is an Honourary Advisory Board Member of the Big Sisters of BC, and Chairperson for the Big Sisters Golf Tournament in Vancouver.
