Term 4, Week 5 Monday, 3rd November, 2014. From The Principal’s Desk Public Speaking Congratulations to the students who represented our school at the District Public Speaking Competition. Our results were quite outstanding with Massimo Russo and Bryant Nguyen coming runner
‐up in the Stage Three and Stage Two competitions. In the Stage One Competition Brenda Do spoke extremely well and was very close to getting a placed result. Finally, congratulations to Brandon Huynh in Kindergarten who won the Early Stage One Competition. The school is very proud of all the students who participated and I would like to thank the parents who attended on the day to support their children. 2015
Now enrolling for Parent Information Evening Our final Parent Information Evening for the year will be on Tuesday, Kindergarten 2015. 11th November commencing at 7pm in the school hall. I will be Enrolment Forms are available presenting the school’s 2014 NAPLAN data, highlighting areas of from the School Oﬃce
strength across the school and areas that require further development. A note asking for parent interest will be sent home next week. Art Expo Thank you to the many parents who visited the Art Expo in the hall last week. I’m sure you will agree that the standard of the work produced was exemplary and the talent of our students outstanding. I would like to once again thank the Art Expo Committee and all the teachers of the school for their eﬀort in ensuring the success of this whole school event. 2015 This week a note was sent home asking parents to provide information regarding their child’s enrolment at St Johns Park Public School in 2015. I ask for your co‐operation in returning this note as it will provide the school with the information necessary to plan classes for 2015. During this term 5S students enthusiastically created and enjoyed making artworks for our annual Art Expo. Using the technique of paper quilling, students created a range of owl, car and flower designs. They used great technique and artistic flair to form coils of diﬀerent shapes and sizes, composing them together to form their designs. 5S were very excited to present their artworks in the Art Expo last week, being very proud of their hard work and creative eﬀort.
