2014 Annual Banquet

Dear NRA member and fellow friend of the NRA:
The Greater Triangle Friends of NRA cordially invites you to its 2014 Annual Friends of NRA fundraising event. The event will start at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at The Raleigh Convention
Center, 500 S. Salisbury St., Raleigh, North Carolina. Public parking is available on Lenoir Street in a
parking deck across from the convention center. Our guest speaker will be James W. Porter II,
President of the National Rifle Association of America.
You may participate by purchasing banquet tickets for $40 each. You may become a sponsor of the
event for $250 in addition to buying a banquet ticket. If you become a sponsor, you will have an
outstanding chance to win one of a fine selection of high quality sponsor firearms. Sponsors do not
have to be present to win a sponsor firearm! We had 150 sponsors for last year’s event. We
gave away 15 sponsor firearms!
The first six sponsor firearms are: (1) Colt Accurized Rifle .223 flat top receiver with 24” SS barrel,
(2) Armalite AR10A4 7.62 with forward assist, (3) DPMS Panther Long Rifle in .308 Win, (4)
Kimber Stainless Pro Carry in .45 ACP, (5) Springfield Standard M1A Rifle .308 Win, (6) Colt
Stainless Commander .45 ACP 4 1/2” . We will have one sponsor firearm for every 10 sponsors.
As a special incentive, we will have a “First Shot” drawing for those who purchase their banquet tickets
(post marked) by March 21, 2014. Their names will be entered in the “First Shot” drawing for a Savage
Axis XP .308 win with black synthetic stock and a 3-9x40 Bushnell scope.
Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis by ordering via the form on the back of this letter

The 2014 Gun of the Year is a Colt NRA matched set consisting of a Colt XSE Government Model
.45ACP and a .380 Mustang Pocketlite pistol.
We will have several rifles, shotguns, handguns, and various high quality items in our annual bucket
raffle. There will be a live auction and a silent auction with some unique items available only at FNRA
events. Special games will provide additional opportunities to win a few awesome firearms.
We are looking forward to having you attend this year’s FNRA Fund-raising Event, so complete your
First Shot form now and participate in what is sure to be the most talked-about event of the year! It is
your opportunity to pick up some one-of-a-kind items, have a great meal, and help ensure the future of
the shooting sports.

All sales are final. Banquet Tickets will be mailed to your address and Sponsor items will be available
for pickup at the door the night of the event unless you request to pick them up before the event.
Bucket Raffle tickets will be available at the door only and Bucket raffle winners must be
present to win! Table Sponsor guns are given at the event or at the gun shop after the event.
All participants should be prepared to take their gun winnings home the night of the event by bringing a
NC concealed carry permit or a valid pistol permit issued by their sheriff. Long gun winners without a
concealed carry permit or valid pistol permit will have to wait for an instant background check. PLEASE
NOTE: CURRENTLY INSTANT BACK GROUND CHECKS CAN TAKE UP TO THREE DAYS TO COMPLETE
– No fault of the gun dealers. If you don’t have a concealed carry permit, plan ahead and bring a few pistol
permits that cost only $5 each. All gun winners who are not able to take home their gun(s) the night of the
event will have until July 8, 2014 (90 days) to claim their winnings at Bear Creek Gun Shop inside NC
Hunter Supply at 2411 East Millbrook Rd., Raleigh, NC 919-761-3312. There will be a transfer fee at a
reduced price of $25 for each gun when it is claimed. If the gun is not claimed within 90 days (7/8/14) the
gun will become the property of the GTFNRA and will be used next year.
