INSTRUCTIONS
R
The TRIO SPRAY FINISH gun has been finely engineered to provide with the finest result and the continuous production
capabilities that you desire full benefits from the features of the gun please follow the instructions given below.
Air Supply to Gun : Ensure that the air supply is sufficient in volume (cfm) and pressure (psi) and is free from oil, moisture
and dust. Use a air filter cum regulator for best results.
Paint Supply : The paint or the liquid being sprayed is to be used at the viscosity recommended by the manufacturer. Use
the correct thinner to adjust viscosity. The paint container (gravity feed cup) is to be cleaned well before filling with paint.
Air Hose : The air hose has to be of the correct diameter and should be resistant to solvents.
Installation and commissioning : Ensure that the correct air cup and fluid nozzle combinationis chosen on the gun. Use
the selection chart given below for guidance. Attch the air supply line to the air inlet. An air transformer installed as close as
possible to the gun will provide filtered and regulated air.
Mix, prepare and strain the material to be sprayed according to the paint manufacturer instructions.
1.
Fill the gravity feed cup with the material. Do not overfill. Make sure that the vent hole in the cup lid is clear.
2.
Adjust the atomisation air pressure to 35 psi.
3.
Open the spreader adjustment valve by turning the valve stem anti-clockwise.
4.
Close the fluid needle adjusting screw by turning clockwise.
5.
Turn on the air at the source of supply and spray atest area by turning the fluid needle adjusting screw anti- clockwise.until a
full coat is obtained.
If the finish is too sandy and dry, the material flow may be too small for the automisation air pressure being used. If the finish
sags there is too much material flowing for the automisation air pressure being used. Both the above can be corrected by
increasing or decreasing the automisation air pressure or the material flow. Pattern width can be altered by turning the
spreader adjustment valve either clockwise to decrease the width or anti- clockwise to increase the width.
Cleaning : Turn off the air supply. Residual paint in the paint cup is to be drained back in to the paint container. Wipe the
exterior of the gun with a clean rag and solvent. Operate the trigger until all the traces of the material have disappeared and
the gun isthoroughly clean.
To clean the air cap soak it in the clean solvent. Use the brush if necessary. To clean the air cap holes use a matchstick or
toothpick but never any metal object. The complete gun is never to be soaked in a solvent.
Lubrication : At regular intervals the following parts are to be lubricated by placing a drop of oil.
a) Fluid needle packing
b)
Air Valve packing
c)
Trigger Bearing screw
Apply grease to the springs behind the fluid needle and air valve.

The brush is useful
in cleaning threads &
recesses of the gun body.
The gravity feed cup is made of Nylon 6
to ensure long life. The cup feets into the
material inlet of the gun directly. A special
gasket has been provided to ensure
positive sealing and to prevent leakage.
Warning : Halogenated Hydrocarbon solvents - e.g. 1.1.1- Trichloroethane and methylene chloride - can chemically react with the aluminum in this gun and cause and
explosion hazard, the label or data sheet for the material you intend to spray. Do not use spary materials containing these solvents with this spray gun.
We reserve right to make design changes to products and components to improve their performance, these changes may occur between catalogue printing.
