Air Supply to Gun : Ensure that the air supply is sufficient in volume (cfm) and pressure (psi) and is free from oil, moisture and dust. Use a air filter cum regulator for best results. Paint Supply : The paint or the liquid being sprayed is to be used at the viscosity recommended by the manufacturer. Use the correct thinner to adjust viscosity.The paint container (gravity feed cup) is to be cleaned well before filling with paint. Air Hose : The air hose has to be of the correct diameter and should be resistant to solvents. Installation and commissioning : Ensure that the correct air cup and fluid nozzle combinationis chosen on the gun. Use the selection chart given below for guidance. Attch the air supply line to the air inlet. An air transformer installed as close as possible to the gun will provide filtered and regulated air. Mix, prepare and strain the material to be sprayed according to the paint manufacturer instructions. 1. Fill the gravity feed cup with the material. Do not overfill. Make sure that the vent hole in the cup lid is clear. 2. Adjust the atomisation air pressure to 35 psi. 3. Open the spreader adjustment valve by turning the valve stem anti-clockwise. 4. Close the fluid needle adjusting screw by turning clockwise. 5. Turn on the air at the source of supply and spray atest area by turning the fluid needle adjusting screw anti- clockwise.until a full coat is obtained. If the finish is too sandy and dry, the material flow may be too small for the automisation air pressure being used. If the finish sags there is too much material flowing for the automisation air pressure being used. Both the above can be corrected by increasing or decreasing the automisation air pressure or the material flow. Pattern width can be altered by turning the spreader adjustment valve either clockwise to decrease the width or anti- clockwise to increase the width. Cleaning : Turn off the air supply. Residual paint in the paint cup is to be drained back in to the paint container. Wipe the exterior of the gun with a clean rag and solvent. Operate the trigger until all the traces of the material have disappeared and the gun isthoroughly clean. To clean the air cap soak it in the clean solvent. Use the brush if necessary. To clean the air cap holes use a matchstick or toothpick but never any metal object. The complete gun is never to be soaked in a solvent. The gravity feed cup is made of Nylon 6 to ensure long life. The cup feets into the material inlet of the gun directly. A special gasket has been provided to ensure positive sealing and to prevent leakage. Warning : Halogenated Hydrocarbon solvents - e.g. 1.1.1- Trichloroethane and methylene chloride - can chemically react with the aluminum in this gun and cause and explosion hazard, the label or data sheet for the material you intend to spray. Do not use spary materials containing these solvents with this spray gun.
