(This Course available only to current IWLA Alexandria Chapter members & family)
Course Goal: To provide basic knowledge, teaching of skills, and attitude development necessary for
safe & proper use of a pistol.
When: Saturday, February 28, 2015, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Where: IWLA Alexandria Chapter Clubhouse - 2729 Garrisonville Rd. (Rt.610) Stafford, VA 22556
Includes: NRA Books and student materials
Bring:
Your Handgun (cased). Revolver or Semiautomatic pistol (.22LR - minimum caliber,
Recommend no caliber larger than .45 ACP).
Ammo appropriate for your gun; minimum of 50 rounds, 100 recommended.
Shooting protection for eyes & ears – electronic earmuffs preferred.
Target stand & Targets (There are no target stands at the IWLA Pistol Range).
Firearm cleaning equipment.
Pencil, pen & highlighter (open book written test is given at the end of the course).
Bring your lunch for the day of the course, snacks & drinks available.
NO LIVE AMMO IN CLUBHOUSE! - Leave your handgun & ammunition in your car!
Who may attend: Only offered to current IWLA Alexandria Chapter members, spouses & children.
NRA Membership not required, BUT encouraged for tracking of Training. Children at a minimum must
be 14 years old and of sufficient stature & maturity to be able to handle a handgun safely - must be
accompanied by parent attending the course.
