PROFILE OF THE COLLEGE:
The Government Degree College for Women,
Begumpet, Hyderabad, located in the heart of the
city, was established as a multifaculty college in
1971 with the motto “Learning is the best
Ornament”. The college is affiliated to Osmania
University and has been accredited with “B” Grade
with CGPA of 2.76 by NAAC in the year 2010 and
was conferred autonomous status in the year 2012.
The RGNIYD has recently launched the Youth led
Development Programme (YDP) which aims at
enhancing the reach of the Institute through various
colleges in the country. In fulfillment of the
priorities of the National Youth Policy 2014, RGNIYD
envisages to create appropriate platform for
engagement of youth in development and nation
building process. The Youth-led Development
Programme (YDP) seeks to offer various
