Global Health Trials (GHT) is going to organise a One day workshop in
Hyderabad on 19th Nov’ 2014 . The theme of the meeting is ‘Recent trends and
career developments in Clinical Research-INDIA.’
Global Health Trials (headquartered in UK) being an NGO is trying to bring together the
local research community to encourage the sharing of ideas, knowledge and resources,
and professionalism research as a career.
Global Health Trials (GHT) One-Day Skills Sharing Workshop conducted
worldwide is trying to spearhead these ethos of Global Health Trials.
At a regional level in India Samskara ( NGO), Clini India Institute for Clinical Research
and ICBM School of Business Excellence are coordinating with GHT for successfu l
conducting of this event at Hyderabad

Summary: G lobal H ealth Trials (GHT) along with others will be hosting the one -day
workshop on 19th Nov’14 in Hyderabad. It w ill provide an opportunity to build aw areness
for participants regarding the growing importance of Clinical Research, current industry
scenario in view of regulatory changes and career prospects in INDIA. The workshop will
includ e focused discussions related to trends concerning impact of regulatory changes,
research as tool for quality care and the exploration of potential solutions and fu rthermore
will also provide a career direction for b ecoming a CR professionals.
Participants will have a greater understanding of the importance of role they would like to
play in ever expanding Clinical research opportunities in India. The workshop will be
suitable for Principal Investigators,Clinical Research Coordinators, Medico’s Pharmacy &
Nursing graduate students, Research personals from hospitals/pharmaceuticals,
statisticians, ethicists, regulators etc.

The Global Health Network was set up in 2010 and is run on a core operational funding grant
from Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Oxford Tropical Network operating at the Nuffield
Department of Medicine Research Building, Centre for Tropical Medicine University of Oxford,
London
The Global Health Network aims to accelerate and streamline research through this innovative
digital platform. The idea is to provide a mechanism for facilitating collaboration and resource
sharing for global health. The Global Health Network is an online science park that allows
researchers to work together without ge ographical, institutional or financial barriers.
The Global Health Network aims to enable research by sharing tools, resources, knowledge and
best practice. In fact the Global Health Trials area of The Global Health Network is discussed on
page 107 of this WHO report and recognized for the contribution that Global Health Trials is
brining to research capacity development by facilitating the sharing of templates, tools,
protocols and allowing research staff to provide support and guidance to each other.
SAMSKAR A, a Non Profitable Organization in India based at Hyderabad, is an Advocacy group for
Healthcare professionals and Patients. Samskara aims at providing a rich platform for Doctors and
Health Care Professionals in transforming their ideas to innovation, developing integrated
