NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING TO BE HELD BY THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF EAST GWILLIMBURY TO CONSIDER A PROPOSED ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT & DRAFT PLANS OF SUBDIVISION Regarding a Zoning By-law Amendment & Draft Plans of Subdivision Applications By South Sharon Developments Inc. and Acorn Development Corporation 18326 and 18490 Leslie Street - West side of Leslie Street, north of Green Lane Part of Lots 5, 6 and 7, Concession 2 [Files: ZBA.13.10; 19T-14001; 19T-14002] The Council of the Town of East Gwillimbury has received applications for a Zoning By-law Amendment and 2 Draft Plans of Subdivision as it relates to lands located on the west side of Leslie Street, north of Green Lane East, in the Green Lane Secondary Plan Area, south of the Community of Sharon, as shown on Appendix 1 attached. The purpose and effect of the proposed Applications is to facilitate a residential development of approximately 1,000 units and would include a range of unit types and densities including single family detached, townhouses and apartments. Parks and open space blocks are also proposed. TAKE NOTICE that a public meeting will be held by the Council of the Town to provide an opportunity for comments on the proposed Applications. The public meeting will be held in the Council Chambers of the East Gwillimbury Civic Centre, 19000 Leslie Street, Sharon on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2014 AT 7:00 P.M. ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting to make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed Official Plan Amendment. Written submissions on this matter should be addressed to Nick Pileggi, Director of Planning. Written submissions will be received up to the time of the meeting, however, we would appreciate receiving comments by Thursday, September 25, 2014. Should you be unable to attend the public meeting but wish to be notified of any further proceedings or decisions relating to this application, please submit such request to the Development Services Department. PLEASE NOTE THAT if a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Town of East Gwillimbury before the Official Plan Amendment is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Town of East Gwillimbury to the Ontario Municipal Board. If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Town of East Gwillimbury before the Official Plan Amendment is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
