Experience
Helen joined KPMG UK in 2005 focusing on UK – China investment flows. Her role was forming strategies for the UK China Practice, promoting KPMG to the Chinese
investors, business development & sales and client relationship management.
Helen’s work targeted major investors from China in financial services, communications, auto and other industrial sectors. Helen was responsible for looking after the key
stakeholder relationships in the Chinese business community including the Chinese Embassy, China Chamber of Commerce, UKTI, and the China-Britain Business Council.
Helen relocated to KPMG Australia’s Sydney office in November 2011 to bring her UK skills and help further develop client relationships with inbound Chinese investors
and Chinese companies operating in Australia.

Mr Grant Whittaker was appointed the Managing Director of Knight Frank Australia’s Queensland office in
2001. He’s a member of the Knight Frank Australia Board, and a shareholder in Knight Frank Australia.
Mr Whittaker is responsible for the day to day operations and performance of the Queensland office of
Knight Frank, and this sees him involved in all parts of the business. In addition to this, Mr Whittaker is
responsible for the coordination and growth of the Knight Frank Network throughout Australia and New
Zealand.
Mr Whittaker commenced his real estate career in the CBD Office Leasing Market in Brisbane in 1984 at
Jones Lang Wooton. In his early years in the industry, Mr Whittaker worked in the brokerage leasing market
and progressed to project leasing on buildings in the Brisbane CBD, during the strong development period
of the 1980’s.
Towards the end of the 1980’s Mr Whittaker moved into the Industrial property market working on the sale
and lease of Industrial projects in Brisbane. This role, focussing on the southern Industrial suburbs of
Brisbane, included providing development advice and assistance through pre leasing stages of major
Industrial projects.
In 1990 Mr Whittaker joined Baillieu Knight Frank to head up the Commercial and Industrial divisions. This
role took responsibility for the management and performance of the Commercial and Industrial teams within
Baillieu Knight Frank, and an active involvement in the sale of investment and development property.
In 2001 Mr Whittaker was appointed Managing Director for Knight Frank Queensland, and joined the Knight
Frank Australia Board shortly thereafter. This position requires Mr Whittaker to be involved in all aspects of
the business, including sales, leasing, property management, and property marketing, as well as developing
strategy and driving growth for the Queensland and Australian business. Developing and maintaining client
relationships, and coordinating the profile of Knight Frank, also form part of his focus.
Mr Whittaker has worked in the Queensland property market for more than 25 years, and has been involved
in many projects for a variety of clients across the State.

David Bell is a partner in our Brisbane office where he primarily practises in commercial
property and infrastructure.
David specialises in commercial property sales, acquisitions, leasing and developments, property
