REVPRO REVENUE PROTECTION SYSTEM INTRODUCTION REVPRO is a comprehensive revenue protection system designed specifically for Utilities and Municipalities. Using the latest mobile technology and GIS the system give you complete visibility and control over your metering base. The basic revenue protection principles incorporated are: Discovering and knowing the location of a meter Knowing the operational status of a meter Detecting faults Detecting tampering Callout management Real-time control with work order management and GIS tracking of: o site audits o installations o replacements o repairs o inspections Electronic monitoring of meters Information gathered from field work can be used to assist in keeping the asset register accurate. GLOSSARY RAT – Remote Access Terminal This is installed at a mini-sub to monitor PLC prepaid meters and its associated ZMD meter ZMD – Master meter This is a consumption meter installed alongside a RAT at a mini-sub to measure the entire electricity usage from the mini-sub. WORK ORDER MANAGEMENT Types of work order (Mobile Workflows – see attached workflows) o o o RAT-ZMD Audit/Installation Meter Audit/Installation Meter Callout (Faults & Inspections) Work Order Creation Work Orders are created in the following ways: Web Capture Screens Example Screen GIS View (where installation audit has been done) Example Screen 1 Work Order Assignment and Allocation First work orders are assigned to a Depot/Contactor. Then a depot manager will assign the work orders to teams and field workers via a web screen. Example Screen The system caters for internal work as well as external contactors. When the work orders are assigned, the system sends the work orders (including the sequence of steps to be performed for each order) to the field workers mobile device. The field worker will now have a list of work to do and the locations of where the work must be performed. Work Order Tracking As field workers are completing their jobs, they can be monitored on the Worker GPS Dashboard. Simply clicking on a completed job will reveal all the results of the job as well as any photos taken. Sample screen showing one worker. Each blue marker is a completed installation 2 Work Order Execution Work orders are performed using a mobile device running the MobiTask application. MobiTask functions in an online/offline mode and work can be performed even when the mobile device loses connectivity. Example mobile screens: 3 RAT/METER MONITORING Status Dashboard The status dashboard is to view the operational status of RATs, ZMD’s and meters. This dashboard is useful to detect problems and tampers as well as monitoring that the field work finally results in a good operational status. Sample screen showing a clicked on RAT and its meters. Meters in red are showing a problem. REPORTING Reporting can be customised to specific requirements, however standard reports are available and include the ones listed below: Head Office Reports o o o Works Order report by depot/contractor Performance report by depot/contractor Works Order exception report Depot/Contractor Reports o o o Works Order report by team/area Performance report by team/worker Works Order exception report 4
