REVPRO
REVENUE PROTECTION SYSTEM
INTRODUCTION
REVPRO is a comprehensive revenue protection system designed specifically for Utilities and Municipalities. Using
the latest mobile technology and GIS the system give you complete visibility and control over your metering base.
The basic revenue protection principles incorporated are:







Discovering and knowing the location of a meter
Knowing the operational status of a meter
Detecting faults
Detecting tampering
Callout management
Real-time control with work order management and GIS tracking of:
o site audits
o installations
o replacements
o repairs
o inspections
Electronic monitoring of meters
Information gathered from field work can be used to assist in keeping the asset register accurate.
GLOSSARY
RAT – Remote Access Terminal

Work Order Assignment and Allocation
First work orders are assigned to a Depot/Contactor. Then a depot manager will assign the work orders to teams
and field workers via a web screen.
Example Screen
The system caters for internal work as well as external contactors.
When the work orders are assigned, the system sends the work orders (including the sequence of steps to be
performed for each order) to the field workers mobile device. The field worker will now have a list of work to do
and the locations of where the work must be performed.
Work Order Tracking
As field workers are completing their jobs, they can be monitored on the Worker GPS Dashboard. Simply clicking
on a completed job will reveal all the results of the job as well as any photos taken.

Work Order Execution
Work orders are performed using a mobile device running the MobiTask application. MobiTask functions in an
online/offline mode and work can be performed even when the mobile device loses connectivity.

RAT/METER MONITORING
Status Dashboard
The status dashboard is to view the operational status of RATs, ZMD’s and meters. This dashboard is useful to detect
problems and tampers as well as monitoring that the field work finally results in a good operational status.
