The light is maintaining the same state (either ON or OFF) continuously while energy is exported. 5.3.2 Pulsed output The pulsed outputs may be used ONLY by Company employees when approved by Metering Services for a specific metering installation. The two terminals at the bottom of the meter provide a pulse output for connection with other devices. The output is an opto-coupler with a maximum rating of 32Vdc / 5mA. Each pulse is 20ms wide and represents 10 Wh imported energy. The pulsed output should not be used for metrology. The security of the metering installation shall not be affected by pulsed output connections. 6.0 AUTHORITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Network and Customer Technology Manager has the authority to approve this code of practice. 7.0 DOCUMENT CONTROL Content Coordinator: Technical Manager, Metering Services Distribution Coordinator: Technical Manager, Metering Services CEOM8014.36 UNCONTROLLED IF PRINTED Page 7 of 7
