5.2.1
Commissioning checks
If only two phases are metered, bridge the unused phase and one of the used phases;
Confirm that wiring matches the diagram and there are no loose connections;
Power the installation and verify that:
o the display scrolls between “kWh imported” and “test”
o all segments are ON while displaying “test”
o there are no errors
Check that all three phase indicators are illuminated;
Apply a suitable load to the meter (e.g. household load or a 100W lamp, best applied to one
phase at a time) and confirm that the “kWh test” LED pulses; should the LED stay ON,
either energy is exported or the wiring is incorrect;
Correct faults, if any, and repeat commissioning procedure;
Seal the terminal cover in accordance with established guidelines; and
Complete paperwork via Secure Web Forms.

kWh
The red kWh test LED pulses at a rate of one pulse per one Wh imported energy. The light is
maintaining the same state (either ON or OFF) continuously while energy is exported.
5.3.2
Pulsed output
The pulsed outputs may be used ONLY by Company employees when approved by
Metering Services for a specific metering installation.
The two terminals at the bottom of the meter provide a pulse output for connection with other
devices. The output is an opto-coupler with a maximum rating of 32Vdc / 5mA.
Each pulse is 20ms wide and represents 10 Wh imported energy. The pulsed output should not be
used for metrology.
The security of the metering installation shall not be affected by pulsed output connections.
