Twistor spaces and purity of Hodge
structures

We will recall the twistor construction for a hyperkähler metric, which encodes the various
complex structures associated with the metric into a single holomorphic family over the projective
line. In the case that this family is algebraic, one can sometimes apply results of Crawley-Boevey-Van den Bergh--Nakajima and Hausel--Letellier--Rodriguez-Villegas to conclude that the Hodge
structure on the cohomology of the fibres is pure. We will look at some examples and express
some hope that the technique can be applied to certain moduli spaces of meromorphic
connections.
