In cooperation with 20th Century Fox, we are happy to invite you to an exclusive preview of the newest
Steven Spielberg film „Bridge of Spies“ in original sound. We are grateful to our partner for their generous
support. (The official film release in Germany is November 26th, 2015).
About the film:
Against the background of the Cold War the thriller “Bridge of
Spies” deals with the story of lawyer James Donovan from
Brooklyn, played by Tom Hanks, who suddenly is pulled into the
political developments. Donovan is appointed by the CIA to obtain
the release of the American U-2 pilot Francis Gary Powers who
was arrested in the UdSSR - a task that seems to be nearly
impossible.
This extraordinary episode in Donovan´s life is embedded into a
screen-play based on true events by the authors Matt Charman,
Ethan Coen and Joel Coen. It portrays the character and path of a
man who is willing to risk everything.

Preliminary to the preview a short introduction to the historical background of the film is planned.
Admission is free. The event will take place in English.

From the main train station Cologne one S-Bahn station with the S6, S11, S12 or the S13 to „Köln
Hansaring“. From there another 700m by foot to the Cinedom.
