NRW, in cooperation with the IHK zu Köln, cordially invite you to the annual Otto Wolff-Lecture. “The US presidential election and the implications for US-German relations” with Dr. Jackson Janes President of American Institute for Contemporary German Studies at Johns Hopkins University in Washington, DC. Monday, September 19th, 2016 | 7 PM IHK Köln | Unter Sachsenhausen 10-26 | Cologne At the end of July Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump were officially nominated as the presidential candidates of their respective parties. With the world watching, it is of great interest to know the main factors influencing U.S. voters in their decision. This lecture will provide insight to voter behavior, as well as the potential economic, political, and social impact the U.S. election outcome could have on transatlantic relations. What would Trump or Clinton mean for foreign policy? Dr. Janes will analyze the Republican and Democratic candidates, their foreign policy plans, and offer perspective on what it means for US-German relations. Dr. Jackson Janes is the President of the American Institute for Contemporary German Studies at John Hopkins University in Washington D.C. AICGS is a research institute focused on German-American relations. Dr. Janes has been engaged in German-American relations for many years.
