「時」の文型・表現（１）
(1)
~する/した時・・・
＊辞書形・た形の使い方の違い
Verb Dictionary form + 時

読む時 (When reading)
Verb た form + 時


(2)＜名詞＞＋まで・・・
Noun (time) + まで
= until
It shows time as some kind of limit.


死ぬまであなたのことを、愛している。
このクラスは１２：００までです。
(3)＜動詞辞書形＞＋まで・・・
Verb Dictionary form + まで
= until
It shows an extent/range outside of what is considered action.


あたし、あなたがキスするまで、かえらない。
宿題が終わるまで帰りません。
(4)＜名詞＞＋までに・・・＊（時）
Noun (time) + までに = within, by (time) , by the time , before (time)


今週の金曜日までに、宿題を出してください。
１２時までに、プリレジしなければならない。
(5) ＜動詞辞書形＞＋までに・・・
Verb Dictionary form + までに
= within, by (time) , by the time , before (time)
It is used to define the time frame to do that action.


卒業するまでに、一度日本に旅行してみたい。
今年が終わるまでに恋人をつくらなければならない。

~間（あいだ）・・・
It means “During…”. The phrase that follows 間 is a continuous action that continues during the
period or action. This is different from 間に (show below), which shows a single, instant action that
occurs before the time frame ends.



ソンクランの間、シーロムで大勢の人が集まってにぎやかになる。
休みの間。家にいてゲームをしていた。
~間（あいだ）に・・・
It also means “During…” The phrase that follows 間に is a single action that occurs during the time
frame but actually some period before the time frame is finished or over. This differs from 間 (show
above), which shows a continuous action that occurs during the entirety of the action.


日本旅行の間に、ぜひ一度富士山に登りたい出す。
家族がいない間に、お風呂やトイレなどそうじる。
(8)「OO 中（ちゅう）｣の単語＊動機の進行中
It shows a state that it is currently happening. It usually refers to something happening in the middle
of a period of time and not over the entire span of that period.
会議中 = During meeting
営業中= During business trading
出張中 =During business trip
勉強中 = During study time
使用中 = Currently using
試験中 = During exam time
食事中= During eating time
電話中= Currently talking on the phone
休憩中=During break time

食事中に話してもいいです。
(9)「OO 中（ちゅう）に」の単語＊その間（期間）に
It is usually refers to the event that is happening in period of time frame.
午前中に = During morning
夏休み中い = During summer vacation
ゴールデンウイーク中に = During golden week

夏休み中に一度帰国する予定です。
(10)「OO 中（じゅう）に」の単語
＊その間（期間）に
It is the entire time period and not just a single time.
今日中に = All over today
今週中に = All over this week
今月中に = All over this month
今年中に = All over this year

このビルは今年中に完成する予定です。
(11) 「OO 中（じゅう）」の単語＊その間（期間）ずっと
Action covers an entire time period or area.
一日中 = whole day
一晩中 = whole night
一年中 = whole year

きのう一日中雨が降っていました。
(12)補助動詞
~
１）始める
V.ます form ます+ はじめる
It means “To begin to (verb)”


お客が少しずつあつまり始めた。
きのう降り始めた、雨はまだ降っている。

２）続ける
V.ます form ます + 続ける
It means “To continue to (verb)”


あの人は３時間も電話で話し続けている。
一日中ずっと歌い続けると、のどが痛くなります。

３）終わる
V.ます form ます +
終わる
It means “To finish to (verb)”


月曜日までに作文を書き終わる。
全部使い終わったら、すててください。

４）出す
V.ます form ます + 出す
It means “To (verb) out” An action that makes something (item, information, etc.) visible/accessible
that wasn't before.


私の顔を見て、赤ちゃんが泣き出した。
急に雨が降り出した。
その他の文型・表現
(1)
~ようになっている
The use of the potential form is more likely when you instinctively start doing something you haven't
done before such as learning to walk or talk. But it is not used when you are doing something that is
considered a habit or hobby.


この本を見ると、漢字が書けるようになっています。
このボタンを押すと、ジュースが出るようになっている。
(2)＜動詞辞書形・ない形＞ことがある
そういうことが今でもあったし、これからもあるだろう。
＊回数は少ない
There are times when it occurs or exists and there will be in the future.


山田さんとはたまに飲みに行かないことがある
遅く帰るとき、お風呂に入らないことがある。
(3)「つい」＊してはいけないよ思っていても、それをしてしまう。
It means that when you do something without thinking or you know you shouldn’t do it but it is
careless to do it.


甘い物が好きで、ケーキなどを見るとつい手が伸びる。
きれいな彼女を見ると、私の心はついドキドキする。
